Prisma Hostel

After arriving I got told I need to pay extra 7% for card payment (here it said it’s all taxes included, credit card possible). The host also wanted me to pay extra 20.000 COP deposit saying I am aggressive (in spanish thinking I wouldn’t understand). Police was involved too, but they didn’t really know what to do bc the host denied me checking in without paying all the extras. I didn’t feel safe at all and after 3h I decided to leave for another hostel

It’s obvious that the hostel is being run on a shoestring budget. But I was overwhelmed by the kindness of the reception host, Ros. When not attending to reception he is always cleaning and so helpful with every request. Unfortunately, the refrigerator was not working while I was there. All appliances are unplugged when not in use. And when temperatures dropped into the 40s, there was no heat. Bogotá is not an eternal spring destination. It gets cold.

Second worst hostel I stayed in my travels in South America. Theres a shop in the middle of the hostel which makes alot of noise. The facilities are not great but useable - but the staff are poor. Untrained for example they couldn’t see my booking even though I had a confirmation and the manageress is extremely rude. Yes its cheap but be warned theres problems with this place.

More than one staff member was remarkably impolite. I don't think that the manageress has the communication skills or the empathy necessary for the hospitality industry. Entering and going out of the hostel was sometimes difficult. There were some good points. The hostel is well located, the bed was comfortable, but, the issue of the unwelcoming staff means I will not consider returning.

Semplicemente evitarlo, e mi auguro Venga tolto da hostelword. E la prima volta in anni che mi capita una situazione simile. Eravamo in 3 nella medesima situazione: la signora chiedeva più soldi del dovuto per camere meno costose di quelle prenotate. E in più non ti lasciava andare senza annullare la presentazione. 3 persone siamo andati via nonostante la polizia lasciandole i soldi delle camere senza usufruire.

La habitación es cómoda y los gatos del hostel son maravillosos. No me gustaron varios aspectos: se siente mucho ruido de la calle, si llegas después de las 10 pm te cobran 10.000 COP por hora lo cual no es mencionado en la plataforma, la ducha está muy alejada de la habitación y sobran algunos comentarios de la responsable del lugar. El lugar es muy agradable pero tiene 0% ambiente de hostel

la posizione è ottima, la struttura è godibile, cucina spaziosa. alcune regole interne mi sono sembrate un poco assurde: le porte delle stanze comuni che devono sempre stare aperte durante il giorno(anche durante lo svolgimento di un marcato d'artigianato) tutti le luci spente alle 22.00 (capisco non fare rumore dopo na certa, ma se volessi leggere?).
