Incredible Hostel. I stayed in a futon bed dorm together with four other guests. We had our own balcony and sink in the room. The traditional flair and the magnificent onsen in the basement made the stay truly special. The kitchen was very usable, and the huge common area invited guests to interact with each other. The staff was super nice and helpful. Would definitely come back in the future. Thank you for having me!
War super entspannt, Onsen war ein Highlight. Haben alles daran geliebt :) Besonders nach lauten Tagen in Tokyo ein gutes “Entkommen”
Wonderful place!
By far the most interesting and beautiful hostel I’ve ever stayed in. Worth a trip to ito just to stay here! An authentic ryoken and onsen experience right on the river. It’s also walking distance to Ito Station and lots of restaurants. The atmosphere is tranquil and perfect for a relaxing few days in the middle of my month in Japan. Ito itself is so charming, not very touristy, but very friendly and welcoming. Enjoy some sashimi and set meals when you visit.
Beautiful hostel with a view over the river. It was very relaxing here. WiFi was sometimes inconsistent, and it wasn’t a super social hostel, but it was perfect for what it is.
A proper ryokan experience without breaking the bank
Other reviews rate this Ryokan highly. I agree with them. The whole building has a positive vibe inherited from happy guests staying here for the nearly 100 year life of the establishment.
This stay was absolutely amazing. The location is stunning, multiple ways to (visually) access the rear of the building which has a gorgeous view of the river. For the price, it is a fantastic and relaxing place to stay, I would honestly expect to pay alot more. The kitchen was very well stocked for anyone wanting to cook. I will say that the beds are very thin, and the floors/doors are very loud, but guests were very respectful, and they gave complimentary ear plugs which did the trick for me.
Better than I expected. I stayed in the mix dorm and it was a roll of the dice on having a roommate that is bearable. Luckily, the rooms have free earplugs so that was a nice freebie. Location was convenient and the staff was very helpful. I marked off a small point on cleanliness since my blanket had a lot of mystery stains, but it helped that they gave a bedsheet to separate me from it. They provided discounts to a couple other onsens during my visit.
とても良いハウスです。 雰囲気、温泉、最高 日本人から見ても建物が素晴らしい
I had a really calm and beautiful stay at K‘s House Ito Onsen. Staff was super nice and helpful, everything was very clean and don‘t get me started on the beauty of this house! Everything is made out of wood, every bathroom looks a bit different with beautiful sinks, the atmosphere is unmatched. The kitchen is also exceptionally well equipped. The use of private and public onsens is included, and I loved relaxing there every night! Definitely want to go back, thank you K‘s House.
This is the most beautiful hostel I've ever stayed in (and I've stayed in many!!). The interior is all traditional, tatami and woods. Even if Izu isn't on your itinerary, you should spend a night here just for the hostel.
Honestly the most beautiful hostel of our 9 month trip around the world. The whole building was really gorgeous and there was plenty of common space. Everything was clean and there was a shared kitchen. There is one public onsen and two private onsens - the private onsen were often available and were free to use. All the spaces were gorgeous and the location was great. Would highly recommend.
I was hesitant to share bathroom, but the experience and value was worth it.
Probably one of the best hostels I have stayed in. The onsen downstairs and private ones as well were incredible! The location inside a historical ryokan felt like I took a step back in time, which was amazing. Only downside was that we had a particularly bad snorer in our room. The hostel provided earplugs to help with this although they were quite loud, but it happens. Overall incredible experience and cannot recommend this place enough!
Wonderful gem of a hostel, but be aware that the 5-sleeper tatami mat rooms are pretty difficult when it comes to sleep. I was beset by snorers for 3 nights and the low screens offer 0 protection. Otherwise loved my stay and there was an amazing social space / feel to the place, even beyond the 24/7 access to real hot spring onsen. Ito was a great stop to get a taste of quieter japan, with fewer tourists, and maybe i'd go for a more private room here next time.
Very lovely place to relax. Love the common area which is big, new, clean and nice decorated with the river view. Fully equipped kitchen and love seeing everyone preparing their meals together. Hot spring is the main reason I stayed here. Only one suggestion is not enough lockers at the onsen. There is lot of space and I think the numbers of lockers can be added.
