We loved our stay here. Dimu is so lovely and went above and beyond to help with anything we needed. Thank you so much!
I had a great time. Me and my friend booked a bed in the dorm room, but because one of the threehouses wasn’t booked that night, the owner proposed us to sleep there, without paying extra. This was really nice of him and we loved it. We also booked a safari with them and that was a nice experience as well. Would definitely recommend!
The hosts were very sweet and offered me a TukTuk tour around the area for 1000 Rupies. The area I got to see is very beautiful. Also a great starting point to do the Yala National Park. As it is the off season I was alone in the hostel. Due to no AC I couldn’t sleep so well at night.
Staff were lovely and helpful in the organisation of our safari. We were the only people staying at the time. I think the photos somewhat overstate the experience of a “riverside cabana” - but otherwise a pleasant stay.
I stayed in the deluxe room and it was super dirty, I don’t think they have ever cleaned under the bed and there were spider webs everywhere. I understand I’m around nature but these webs were there for weeks/months. After shown to see if I wanted to stay in other rooms, these had dried poo on the floor, evidently we’re not cleaned regularly. The host was not good at communication, only when it benefitted him. Would not recommend staying here
Thank you Dimu, what an absolute pleasure it was to stay in the treehouse. The tree house is amazing, highlight of the trip, very clean as well! Dimu and his family were unbelievable hosts and even welcomed us to their family party for an unforgettable experience. He took us on a sunset/lake/bird/bat watching evening for free! 100% stay here, his wife is an amazing chef Shoutout Robin the fat lab
Sehr schöne Lage am Fluss mit Blick in den Dschungel. Am Abend haben wir Besuch von einem Tucan Pärchen bekommen 🤩 Das Personal ist auch super nett!
We stayed at the treehouse and a private room and it was great. The owner took us on a sunset trip to see birds and bats and we also booked a full day safari through him. Both were great, but the safari was especially amazing. We saw two leopards, one so close we could pet it, and many elephants, peacocks, deer, buffalo, mongoose, crocodiles, and other birds. The treehouse was probably the most well constructed of any that I’ve visited.
Sutch a nice place to stay super friendly host he gave me his own cycle to explore the surrownding, unfortunate not so mutch going on there around... but super if you need some time for yourself
Are stay was amazing. Owners are super nice and made delicious food! When power went out he provided candles! This is definitely a hotel for outdoorsy people! U get to see gators and monkeys. Dogs are super friendly. Owner even gave us a free tuk tuk ride across the town! And arrange are jeep for yala national park and the driver was amazing as well! Def worth the stay if you love nature
Perfect location for safaris - I even walked 30mins to the beautiful lake nearby. Lovely family and the food was delicious! Surrounded by squirrels and birds (saw the rare white Indian Paradise Flycatcher 1m away from me!). Super helpful and friendly.
Dimu was a legend! Our treehouse experience was like nowhere else we’ve stayed, so special. Dimu also took us on a bird watching tuktuk experience when we arrived - say yes if he asks if you are interested! The curry cooked by his wife was also 10/10 delicious.
Tolles Hostel in der Nähe des Nationalparks!
a great hostel if you want to spend a night close to nature. we stayed in the standard basic room for one night and then upgraded to a cabana. it is 1000% worth the upgrade! the hosts are amazing and super nice and the safari through them is a fair price with an amazing guide. cold beer and delicious food is also available. highly recommend this hostel!
Sehr naturnah, perfekt um zu entspannen!
Great property, stayed in a treehouse in the jungle! Host was super lovely and accomodating. Did the safari through the hostel and it was amazing saw lots of animals and the guide was super knowledgeable. Would recommend!
while the hostel was quite nice, something was a bit off. The owner was really pushing his own safari, and in hindsight that was a bit too much. Great view
The dorm is right next to the river, which gives you an amazing view. The owner is really nice and helpful with booking a tour to the Yala national park. His wife makes amazing meals and they do laundry as well. This was one of the best hostels I stayed at in Sri Lanka. They also have hammocks where you can chill in after your tour. It is also really close to the busstop if you are heading south.
