Calm House Hostel Hoi An

I loved my stay at the calm house 2 hostel. It was close to the old town but so much calmer and quiet. It was a good mix for me, I would recommend renting a cycle to move around the city, it is walkable, but getting to the beach or the pottery village are much easier with it. The staff are amazing too and they have a vegan/vegetarian restaurant for my fellow vegan travelers.

Flower ist eine liebenswerte Gastgeberin, die dir sehr gerne Hilfestellungen und Tipps für deinen Aufenthalt in Hoi an gibt. Das Zimmer war wie auf den Bildern wunderschön eingerichtet und der Ausblick fantastisch. Wir haben sogar kostenlos Fahrräder zur Verfügung gestellt bekommen :)

I’d highly recommend staying here. Flower was an amazing host and made you feel very welcome. She was good at communication via WhatsApp and helped to arrange tours, airport transfers and other general recommendations. The hostel is lovely, the rooms are big and modern as well as very clean. The location is beautiful but be wary that during rain season as it’s just by the river.

De eigenaar Flower is erg behulpzaam en helpt je graag met het boeken van activiteiten en geeft je goede tips. Het js wel een erg rustig hostel qua social valt het mee. Maar dat kan wellicht liggen aan de periode dat ik gegaan ben want er waren niet veel andere vakantiegangers. Maar wel een mooi verblijf en met de scooter is de ancient town maar een paar minuten.

The host Flower is great. Very helpful with everything, flexible with my changing plans. The double room was very nice, clean and with a great view on the river.

Really nice clean accommodation in a great location, only a short walk from the old town. Also has great restaurants and cafes very close by. Flower is a friendly and kind host and will also help you out with anything you need such as motorbike hire or bus bookings. I really enjoyed my stay here and would definitely go back

We loved our stay here. Flower was so helpful with booking transport, activities and giving good food recommendations. We got the sleeper bus from Nha Trang so arrived in Hoi An around 7am and she was very accommodating in letting us leave our bags there before check in. The view from the private room is lovely and the vegetarian restaurant serves delicious food. Good location about 10/15 minutes walk from the old quarter. Would recommend staying here!

fantastic homestay, one of the best we have stayed in. the family is all fantastic and very welcomikg and helpful. we had a beautiful private room that over looked the river. there is also a vegetarian resteraunt attached. we couldnt recomend the place enough.

Man, where to even start… Calmhouse, is home. I would classify more as a home stay rather than hostel due to how incredibly kind and inviting Flower is and the family that runs it. From right on the river yet only a short distance away from old town it is nuzzled away in a serene paradise that is still close to festivities and the markets. Hoi An is magical, but it is Calmhouse that truly makes this place so memorable. If your looking for peace and restoration, look no further. This is a gem...

Huong is very welcoming & speaks perfect English. She recommended me restaurants & activities in Hoi An. The hostel is very calm and the view on the lake amazing. You can even eat at the vegetarian restaurant downstairs - yummy!

Awesome hostel!! Huong was an amazing host. When we arrived she made she we knew about all the amazing things that Hoi An had to offer. The room was adorable! Great view of the river. Plenty of space too. Comfy beds. We agreed that this was one of our favorite hostels ever. The restaurant at the bottom is delicious also, great coffee too. The location is about 30 mins walking away from old town. I forgot my passport here and she got it safely back to me.

Wonderful hosts, beautiful home in a peaceful location overlooking the water. Clean and comfortable dorm with a nice warm shower. Perfect if you want to be away from the crowds. Can hire a bicycle from them, which is a nice way to explore the city.

Best hostel we have stayed at ! The hosts were so lovely and welcoming too. It was about a 15 min walk to the old town but it was a good location and nice and quiet with pretty views. Couldn’t recommend it more. Also the best big hot shower ever!!! They’re so helpful!!! Thank you so much to Huong and Rosy.

We absolutley loved our stay here, it was our favourite hostel and room in all of SE Asia. The view was stunning, couple who run the hostel so very welcoming and helpful, giving us clean towels, free water and made beds each day. The location was perfect - peaceful and 20 min walk into the old town. Maybe bring ear plugs if you're a light sleeper as the walls are thin. We wish we could've stayed even longer!

The family that run the calm house hostels are lovely, the rooms are clean and it’s excellent value for money. I will be coming back!

J’ai ADORÉ cet endroit. Petit coin de paradis, au calme de la ville, en face de la rivière. Parfait pour déconnecter un peu et se reposer. La famille qui tient l’auberge est tellement gentille. Petit dortoir de 6 lits hyper confort, salle de bain appréciable avec énorme douche. Propre. A 20min à pied du centre (10 en vélo). Je rechoisirais cet endroit 1000 fois !
