Xkopek just opened up their dorms (had camping and bungalows before) so I enjoyed a new mattress and a room to myself. The property is beautiful to walk around, and the pool is nice to relax by. Security wise, because it is a big property with lots of visitors, I do hope they put a lock/give dorm guests keys for the door for the dorm building, but there are still big lockers. The tour was nice and really good value with the discount. Good if you want a calm eco space just 20 min from the center.
Tranquil slice of nature within walking distance of the city. The larger bungalows were amazing value, and the bee tour was very insightful. The neighbourhood felt very safe but if you don’t fancy a walk there’s a cheap taxi company advertised by the reception.
Wonderful experience. The nature life is amazing
Un paraiso en Valladolid. El trato es exquisito, las instalaciones increíbles y confortables, el sitio en si es increíble! Aconsejo al 100%
Really lovely staff, very beautiful grounds and woodland area. We had just booked a tent, and due to the storm they upgraded us to a cabin for free, after messaging about upgrading from a tent which we would've been happy to have paid for. The cleanliness could've been better, just needs a bit of a spruce up in some areas, like the flooring in the cabin was peeling off, and the shower and toilet block definitely needed some TLC.
This is one that will not be for everyone. It was a very memorable experience for me, and I extended. The advantages: I was upgraded from a tent to a hut without even asking for it. The location is marvelous - you are within nature (which is difficult to achieve in Yucatan!), and the wildlife is astonishing: Not just bees, but frogs, dragonflies, scorpions, butterflies, birds, lizards, bats, iguanas, dragonflies, etc. The place is huge and you can wander around for a quarter of an hour - and yo...
Great place if you’re looking for a bit of peace and quiet. Very clean. Walk to town is only 20-30 mins. Booked a tent but was upgraded to a cabin for free - great value.
I don’t recommend this place for solo travelers. The road to the center doesn’t feel particularly safe (remote dirt road) and it’s 30+ min walk so you have to spend 50 pesos on a taxi every time you want to leave the hostel. I stayed here in January and it was freezing at night. I expected the hostel to have blankets but they only gave me a super thin one. I couldn’t sleep because of the cold, so I checked out after one night. I asked to be refunded for the night I didn’t stay and the...
Unbelievable and divine place
Hidden gem, staff very accommodating and restaurant and pool were amazing
Such a wonderful stay here Big grounds with a farm tour Definitely stay here!!
Fantastic property to get a cabin close to the city if you don't want to stay in another mundane hotel/hostel. the hosts are amazing. the bee tour is very informative. facilities are good enough for a property that is in a "forest". would definitely stay again.
Absolutely loved my stay there that I extended for another night. It’s like a hidden gem with a jungle feel. I recommend taking the bee tour & making yourself a home to utilize exploring such a nice forest. Showers aren’t amazing but hey, you are out for a camping experience. I booked a tent but they gave me a small cabin thing that basically fits just a bed but it’s definitely an upgrade from a tent!
Duschen war ganz schlecht. Zimmer nur ein Bett kleines Tischen fertig ziemlich eng Aber sehr interessant
greatplace, we got two tiny cabanas instead of the advertised tents (and i think everyone does, seems to be an advertisment mistake as there were no tents set up to be rented?). The bee tour was fun and interesting.
Affordable and fantastic all around :) it is camping though. no wifi, very limited service, no a/c etc !!
I loved my stay in the forrest! I booked a tent, but got upgraded to my own little cabin with a double bed, fan and electric outlets, for no extra price. The pool is just amazing and the staff is friendly :D. The staff also offer a free bee tour, which is definitely worth a go. Only “bad” thing is that it’s quite far from town and here aren’t a lot of people or activities at the place.
