Hostal Homún Oro Verde

Super chill place close to so many magical cenotes. The Night Cenote-Tour was amazing!! I was here for a couple of days at the end of a long journey. Being at Oro Verde was exactly what i needed to calm down and have some aweaome experiences. Thank you Aleph and Dolce for that! And Kinich for an epic tour to the cenotes!

Oro Verde in Homun is on another level. I give a lot of high reviews but this place sits at the very top. Spotless, obsessed with every detail, and the hosts are some of the warmest people I’ve ever met. Their son took me on an unforgettable night trip to the cenotes — one of the best days of my whole trip. Unbeatable value and such a welcoming vibe. I’d give it a million stars if I could. Don’t miss this place!

Ein wunderbarer Ort mit so offenen und liebevollen Menschen! Die Familie war sehr gastfreundlich und herzlich, ich wurde zum Frühstück ausgiebig bekocht und bekam auch die besten Tips um mit dem Fahrrad (vom Hostel gemietet) ein paar nahegelegene Cenoten zu besuchen. Das Hostel liegt zwar etwas ausserhalb des Orts, ist dafür aber wunderbar friedlich und mitten in der Natur. Bei Bedarf fahren sie dich auch mit dem Moto-Taxi in den Ort. Danke Dulce und Alef, ich komme bestimmt wieder ❤️

Very lovely and homey place in a beautiful area. The family took a lot of time, to give us a tour of the breathtaking cenotes and recommended us a spot where we could see hundreds of bats at sunset. The only little downside for us was that the kitchen is directly connected to the sleeping room. You smell everyone's cooking from your bed and we didn't want to use the kitchen early in the morning or leave tha light on longer on the evening to avoid disturbing others. But it feels like family.

Ce fut un séjour absolument magique en compagnie d’Aleph et Dulce, les mots ne seront jamais assez pour le décrire. Au cœur de la nature, entourés des chants d’oiseau, on s’y sent tellement bien. Le tour des cenotes fut une expérience unique, mystique, tellement enrichissante, pure, belle. Indescriptible et inoubliable, réellement. Ein ganz besonderes Hostel in einem wunderschönen kleinen Dorf. Wir haben uns direkt wohlgefühlt und hatten eine sehr schöne Zeit hier :) Das Frühstück von Dulce lohnt sich absolut und lasst euch von Alep auf jeden Fall die Cenotes der Umgebung zeigen und bucht eine kleine Tour!!!

Hostal Oro Verde Homún donde nada está común! We had a great time at this hostel. Alef, the owner and the host was attentive and super friendly. He had our bikes and equipment ready when we arrived so we could go and explore cenotes right away (he wrote his faves on a paper for us

Una gran experiencia y una gran elección haber ido con ellos, fue lo mejor que me pasó, gracias a ellos pude visitar cenotes más vírgenes, más naturales y con todo el respeto que se merece una inmersión dentro de un cenote, el ir de noche fue una parte muy importante de mi vida en tanta quietud y paz. La comida en el hostal es deliciosa ,les recomiendo hacer ahí todas las comidas que puedan 🤗 Kinich es una gran persona y serán muy afortunados de compartir con él Un gran abraz...

The experience here is amazing, the people are lovely and the possibilities are great! They offer the best services, and offer the best way to guide you thru the best cenotes. Guide in English possible, and the knowledge of this family is very helpful. You didn’t visit Homún properly if you didn’t stayed here.

This hostel gave me the best experience of my life. I will never forget their exclusive tour, unique to all cenotes. This is what you get when you meet the most friendly and lovely people. You can see the exclusive cenotes they have (private, just for you at night! with light inside).

Homún has the most cenotes of the whole world and the hostel organises activities (you can see their instagram) that bring you to the cenotes when there are no other tourists, it feels more like a homestay almost because the owners are very kind and generous. The more i think back about it the more i realise how unique this was. Staying here was the perfect mix of adventure and peace.

Dulce and Aleph are fantastic hosts and they work tirelessly to make the hostel perfect for their guests. The place was spotless, the food gourmet and the regional knowledge an education in the challenges the region faces with impending tourist development. The trips to the gruta and cenotes were unforgettable, even without the 100’s of photos I took I remember every detail because Aleph took so much time to explain everything in detail. This hostel /cenote experience should not be missed!

The best hostel ever - highly recommend!! Dulce, Aleph and Kinich are amazing hosts and made me feel at home - they kept me well fed with delicious meals, were endlessly patient as I tried to practice Spanish, and Kinich was generous enough to show me some beautiful cenotes. The hostel is spacious, clean and a short walk/bike from local cenotes and the town centre. If I could give 6/5 stars I would! The perfect place to relax and explore Homun.

Expérience incroyable avec une famille extraordinaire. Je recommande fortement l’endroit si vous voulez vous sentir bien et traité comme un membre de la famille. Le tour de soir pour aller voir les Cenotes offert par les hôtes a rendu l’expérience d’autant plus magique! Essayez aussi la nourriture offerte sur place, Dolce est une cuisinière hors pair ✨

Nous avons passé un très bon moment chez Aleph et Dulce, qui nous accueillent comme un membre de la famille dans leur maison. Ils ont été adorables et plein de petites attentions. L'endroit est très propre calme c'est un plaisir. Il faut marcher environ 20 minutes pour faire des courses mais ils louent des vélos. Merci pour votre accueil !

Honestly one of the best hostels I've ever been to. If you're looking for a mix of relaxation and cenote adventure, Hostel Oro Verde is the perfect choice. Aleph, Dulce and their son Kinich radiate an incredible sympathy and warmth, which makes you feel home. I can highly recommend the night tour with Aleph. You also shouldn't miss Dulce's food. Super fair price for the quality you get. Thank you for this wonderful stay!
