South B&B El Calafate

Great B&B with helpful staff, lovely rooms, excellent view of the lake and mountains and a wonderful breakfast. We also enjoyed their box lunch. It is a great location a few blocks off the main tourist street. They booked our tours of Perrito Moreno Glacier. We should have taken the bus tour only and not the additional day long boat tour.

There was a booking terror by Hostelworld creating two bookings and not one. When we arrived the male owner behaved very aggressively and shouted at us that it was not his problem and we should pay. We were dumbstruck and not aware of the problem. The owner waved his finger in our face and shouted rudely without letting us speak. We felt belittled and unwelcome. The only reason we stayed was because of the female receptionist who kept apologising for his behaviour while looking petrified. Avoid!

The place is wonderful, only 10 minutes by walk from the center. We really appreciate the atmosphere of the B&b. Breakfast is really good and in the most beautiful place of the house. The hosts are really kind and they help us to plan all tours. We recommend it.
