Lovley stay, great insructors and staff
This hostel was the best!!! I ended up staying for a week and a half, coolest hostel, huge, so many different places to hangout and the atmosphere is awesome. Surf lessons were awesome!
Merveilleux endroit, nous avons adoré. Le personnel est adorable et serviable. Les personnes responsables de l'entretien font un excellent travail, l'endroit est propre ! Les lits sont munis de rideaux, de prises électriques et de lumière. Il y a l'air climatisé la nuit et il est possible d'emprunter des couvertures. El Hostel estaba bien, muy buena ubicación y sobre todo el precio, tiene lugares comunes lindos. Un solo detalle, el aire acondicionado lo ponen tan bajo que dormís más abrigado que en Alaska y hablando con varias personas destacaron lo mismo por eso lo agregó acá. Todo lo demás bien!
BED BUGS in this hostel!! At first glance, it seems like a great hostel with a lot to offer. The surf lesson I had was okay, but I got a bit injured and the surf instructor didn't seem to care much. Two days later, I discovered bed bugs in my bed :( The staff didn't seem to care at all. I was assigned a new bed, but there was no communication about how they were going to resolve this or how I was doing. They didn’t apologize whatsoever. Additionally, I had to ask myself if I could get a refund...
Nice hostel with enough bathrooms, they could be cleaner tho. AC working in night only, rooms are really hot in daytime. Hostel can be more social when they organize activities, is mostly focused on surfers, not on guests that don’t surf.
Great surf hostel, right on the beach. Great place to surf for a mix of levels and great hikes / things to do nearby! Staff and vibes were lovely! Overall clean and enjoyable place to stay ✌🏼
Wer nur zum surfen herkommen will (und es schon kann, bestenfalls ohne Lesson) optimaler Spot. Sehr großes Hostel (Dorms) mit wenig Platz in Küche oder Aufenthaltsräumen. Zu viele Menschen, daher auch relativ anonym. Bedarf viel Mühe zu connecten.
I think this hostel is ok! One bed is 3 bunks which makes it low in cealing and you can hit your head. As soon as someone moves the bed will shake a bit which can be annoying. Tha Aircon is COLD if you sleep in bottom bed but warm if you sleep att top bunk.. (I slept in both). The staff is nice an welcoming, and if you like to surf the location is really good. However, the hostel is not super social in my opinion and if your looking for that I would say theres better alternatives.
Good place to stay it was right next to the beach! The staff was accommodating and the atmosphere was fun

Die Unterkunft hat einen sehr schönen entspannten Vibe mit super Meerblick. Leider ging in unserem Zimmer die Klimaanlage nicht, diese wurde jedoch repariert. Die Küche ist etwas sporadisch ausgestattet und klein, für die Menge an Leuten, aber man kann sich trotzdem viel verschiedenes an Essen machen. Manchmal war die Organisation etwas schleppen wie zB beim Frühstück. Ansonsten bietet die Unterkunft alles was man brauch und wir hatten einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt mit super nettem Pers...
Très bien placé si vous voulez profiter de la vibe surfeur. Le personnel était très sympa, les espaces communs sont agréables et conviviaux. Les chambres de 16 sont très bien aménagées avec prise, rideau et lumière
RECENTLY BUGS! stayed beginning of this week, feedback goes in both directions.... problematic: BEDBUGS in one of the dorms! many of the staff don't speak English and they are often not able (due to management) to react to needs (toilet paper, AC, etc...) Also not enough bathrooms/toilets. location is amazing. far from center but worth it. have their own surf equipment and teachers.
Leider hatten wir keinen schönen Aufenthalt: Zwei Toiletten reichen für alle Gäste nicht aus. Häufig waren noch Überreste zu sehen, kein Klopapier, keine Seife. Die A/C funktioniert nicht wirklich. Die Surflessions sind für das was sie sind überteuert. Es gibt keine gute Auswahl an Surfboards und man benötigt eine große Portion Glück, dass man das Surfboard noch bekommt, was man möchte. Denn entweder vermieten sie es einfach oder sie glauben dir nicht. Abseits davon war Anne super hil...
This place is great I loved that it’s right across the beach very laid back vibe and safe. The surrounding are walkable and beautiful with restaurants around. The bathroom was decently clean and the beds were comfy. The staff is really nice and helpful. I would come back here.
such a great hostel, all staff and volunteers were so so lovely with group activities organised every day that were so fun
L’auberge est plutôt cool ! Cependant la cuisine est trop petite Les activités organisées par Ana, une volontaire, sont vraiment trop chouette. Les restaurants de l’auberge sont délicieux.
Lo recomiendo y si voy a volver, el lugar inmejorable, la atencion limpieza todo perfecto y la playa mas linda de Rio. Ameee
