Hostel is nice and located perfectly for anything happening on Copacablanca beach - really easy to walk back from shakira concert. Leticia was super helpful booking tours and transfer to Ilha grande for me and in general all the staff were really nice
The location is horrible the road is felt really uncomfortable passing through however the atmosphere is excellent I enjoyed meeting new people. The staff was rude in my experience. Overall I would recommend to check other hostels
we had a lot of fun. hostel was clean and there were lots of organized activities. walking distance to beach.
El hostal está en una de las mejores locaciones a solamente 2 cuadras de Copacabana, cuenta con todo lo necesario, es muy fácil convivir y conocer nueva gente por todas las actividades que se tienen todos los días, clases de baile, tours gratis o incluso workshops de caipirinhas, muy recomendado si quieren tener una experiencia real de Rio
Buen spot si viajas solo en Río. El staff es súper amable, sobretodo el excelente y cálido trato de Mateo, 10/10 estrellas para él. El ambiente es muy social, literal haces amigos fácil sin esfuerzo. Me hicieron upgrade de habitación y fue lo mejor que me pasó. Además, desayunar aquí es práctico y barato, lo cual suma bastante si quieres moverte sin complicarte. En general, buena vibra y fácil para conectar con gente. Volvería.
Had a great stay in Pura Vida. Very warm and welcoming staff with Leticia in particular. She was extremely friendly and helpful 🫶
O lugar é fantástico e super confortável! Adorei toda a equipe e atividades do hostel. O quarto era incrível, muito limpo e espaçoso. Um bom refúgio para descanso após aproveitar o Rio
La pase increíble, el lugar esta cerca de la playa y centro. El personal muy atentos en todo lo que necesitaba y para hacerme sentir como en casa. Habitaciones cómodas y limpias. Hay actividades por la noche para que los huéspedes se conozcan entre todos lo cual hace que sea mas fácil hacerse amigos en especial si viajas solo. Sin dudas volveria

Perfect stay — 10/10. The hostel exceeded expectations: clean, organized, and with a welcoming vibe that makes you feel at home. Special thanks to Letícia and Emília for their kindness and constant help. Also, shoutout to the coffee guy (Peñarol fan 😄) for great coffee and good conversations. Highly recommend!
La experiencia en Pura Vida es muy buena. La vibra del lugar realmente hace honor a su nombre, es relajada y se siente auténtica. El staff es súper amable y siempre dispuesto a ayudar, lo que hace que todo fluya mejor. Sin duda, un lugar para ir cada que estás en RJ

Pura Vida was a wonderful welcome to Rio! Guests are very outgoing and will approach you quickly - perfect for a first time solo traveller. Entertainment available every night. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, available for all questions around the clock. Matt and Bruna were my absolute favourite, very attentive and willing to out of their way to help you. I lost my bag in the hostel and bruna help search for half an hour and was the first to welcome me with a big smile in the room
Great location. The hostel is spacious and has a good social atmosphere, the staff is friendly and the parties are great, excellent for experiencing Rio! Special mention to Yasmine from entertainment and Karolyne from the bar, thank you for brightening my days at the hostel✨♥️

Overall, a great hostel. The staff are awesome and very friendly! It is close to the beach too. It is in a Favela, so don’t be surprised. The bedrooms could be upgraded though. The beds are very squeaky, I slept right under the aircon, and there are no curtains. The bed in the 10-person dorm was also quite unstable. However, the vibes are AMAZING -super fun classes, affordable bar, and great activities. A great intro to Rio, would definitely recommend

O Pura Vida é incrível! Oferece diversas aulas de dança e momentos de entretenimento. Os voluntários são excepcionais e tornam o hostel um ambiente acolhedor, leve e realmente especial.
