Das zimmer war ranzig, die wände waren extrem dreckig. Das bettlaken hatte viele flecken in allen farben, für die decke gab es keinen überzug (hab ich nicht benutzt). Trotz eines weiteren bettlakens und einem handtuch auf der Matratze hatte ich nach 1 stunde überall juckenden Ausschlag. Dazu kommt dass das personal extrem laut in der lobby Videos geschaut und Kinder betreut hat bis weit nach Mitternacht was alles durch die dünnen wände zu hören war. Es gab kein funktionierendes waschbeck...
+ Location is decent enough, although we only stayed one night en route to Bukit Lawang. It is pretty cheap, although not the cheapest but Indonesian standards.
- It was quite disappointing. We weren't expecting luxury for the price, but even for this much we were surprised that the sink wasn't plumbed, there were only two squat toilets with no toilet roll, holes in the bedding, etc. Staff were pretty unresponsive when we arrived. Lamp in the room didn't work and was covered in dust, looked like it hadn't been touched in months. On our way back through Medan we stayed somewhere else for the same price and it was all perfectly good quality, so DnD is definitely below standard even for the price.
I guess you get what you pay for, but the room was very small with literal cardboard walls, no windows, the shower/toilet was not very clean and the staff doesn’t speak English (they are very friendly though) The bed was comfortable and the AC worked well. WiFi was the best I had in Indonesia so far. Don’t buy water there, their price is 3x the honest price.

The staff was awesome, but spoke no English. They didn’t know about our booking and it took them 30 minutes to check us in - but they were very friendly and took the time even we checked in late at night. The facilities were very dirty. No proper toilet. For the money definitely not worth it. Some rooms have like almost no windows. We had to change rooms at 12:30 am because the AC was broken, it’s nice they changed it though.
