+ Best location in San Telmo, close (as in easy walking!) to cafes, bars and restaurants, supermarkets, museums and even the Colonia Express ferry to Uruguay. The common spaces were great and almost always empty. We had a private room with a really comfy bed, ceiling fan and good air con. The room, although dark with no windows, was spacious and very comfortable even for 5 nights! Rooftop was good for fresh air, we took up some meals and wine. The staff were super friendly and helpful with maps and advice even with my pathetic attempts at soaking Spanish. The building is beautiful, needs a little TLC but has loads of character. Also very quiet - didn’t need earplugs once. Wifi was pretty good throughout the building, rooms, commons areas etc.

- The small kitchen really needs an upgrade; there is cutlery and bread and butter plates, but minimal utensils or bowls or chopping boards, and nothing to wipe up or help clean up with. But there is a stove, microwave a fridge. It’s pet friendly which is great - but there was a yappy dog. Thankfully not loud at night.

- La habitación, me tocó sin televisor, y las camas incómodas. Los baños incómodos.

+ A localização achei boa, perto de ponto de ônibus e estação de metrô. O rapaz que ficava na recepção durante a noite era bem legal.

- A cozinha é muito mal equipada, não tem quase nada de utensílios, as panelas são muito velhas, a geladeira tem um monte de coisa provavelmente de pessoas que não estão mais lá, e tem mau cheiro. Colchão muito mole.
