Residencial Funchal

On the up side, the hostel was clean and well serviced, good value for money, ideally located in the centre of Old Funchal opposite the fish and fruit markets, and surprisingly cool and quiet at night. On the down side, our room was in need of a little repair and investment - the shower fitting was broken and it wasn’t possible to securely close the window.

Établissement vieillissant mais propre. Bien situé, juste en face du marché des producteurs. Lignes de bus, front de mer et centre ville à proximité.

Great value for the price. Positioned very centrally, right across the street from Mercado dos Lavradores, making it easy to reach everywhere. The room was cleaned daily, the bed made, towels changed, etc. (They even folded my pajamas! :))) ) The kitchen was very useful when we were too tired or didn't feel like eating out after long hiking days. Self check-in and check-out were convenient. -Smells like mold at the entrance (Room was CLEAN) -Bed uncomfortable

Preisleistungstechnisch vollkommen in Ordnung, allerdings gab es leider tierischen Besuch. Die Luftfeuchtigkeit im Zimmer war leider auch unangenehm.

The location is very central and the room was cheap. However, the 3 bed room I booked only had two beds, and the shower leaked every time it was used. I only stayed for a couple of days so it wasn't too bad, but I would not choose to stay there any longer.

Im Bad lagen Haare am Boden und das Zimmer hat allgemein nicht sauber gewirkt. Für den Preis war das Bad sehr rudimentär und die Dusche hatte keinen richtigen Wasserdruck. Leider war das Personal sehr schwer zu erreichen, obwohl die damit werben, dass man zu jeder Zeit Fragen stellen kann. Die Lage vom Hostel ist aber sehr zentral und es gab Zimmerservice, den wir allerdings nicht bestellt hatten.

El alojamiento tiene muy buena ubicación, está en el centro de Funchal pero tienes que tener claro que si quieres estar en un remanso de paz, este no es tu sitio ya que está al lado del Mercado dos Lavradores. Es un edifico antiguo y nada ostentoso, si buscas grandes lujos, tampoco es tu sitio. Las habitaciones están bien equipadas y tiene una pequeña cocina con nevera. La calidad - precio es espectacular y Juan fue muy amable con nosotros y nos hizo unas recomendaciones geniales.

Very difficult to locate the 'hostel' rather just an apartment building. No sound proofing in the walls between rooms or the outdoor windows. Bed was extremely uncomfortble and all the facilities seemed to be there just to get by., Very old builiding and poor maintained room. I wouldn't recommend it.

Prachtig schoon appartement op een top locatie! De eigenaar is vriendelijk en de bedden slapen goed. Het enige minpuntje was de douchekop die niet helemaal vastzat maar douche kon wel. Koelkast was erg fijn

I didn't sleep at night because someone was making alot of noise at night and the wind was letting the door klap al night Ieven when I lock in everything. In the day I found the door open so no security nowhere and to much noise everywhere.

It was okay, kitchen adequate not enough space. Next door to the market which means much noise early morning ( good food just by )

La ubicación es muy buena y el personal se ha mostrado siempre disponible a atender a mis necesidades. Las instalaciones están muy deterioradas al punto de resultar tétrico.

Perfect location. Was here for 10 days and would stay here again. Note…reception is not 24/7.

It's alright. There's very little in terms of Hostels in Funchal so as a base to sleep it's fine. It's dated and I didn't even see a member of staff the whole time I was there and almost 0 interaction with other guests but it does the job as a place to sleep and shower!

Como y acogedor, no lujoso ojo, pero si para sentirse tranquilo dormir y partir para seguir disfrutando de funchal, estructura algo antigua pero en buenas condiciones, sin duda volvería en próximos viajes.

The location is really great. But that's it. It's like a decent option if there's nothing else available. But that's quite it. The room is clean and has everything you need apart from coziness. There was nobody to check me in or out, or help me out. So I had to wait quite a long time to enter my room. So it's an ok option if you don't wanna pay much. But I wouldn't recommend to stay there a long time.

A nice hostel room with everything one needs as a traveler. The room is extremely well located, right in the center of town, making it easy to walk to anywhere in Funchal. Great value for price.

It was clean but We have found cockroaches in the bathroom. The room was cold, we had to ask for an extra blanket and extra towel. The stuff could pay more attention.

Posizione perfetta e prezzo molto basso, questi sono i punti forti! Nessun personale a cui chiedere info, la pulizia lascia a desiderare, camera infestata da zanzare, letti che scricchiolano. Per una notte, con un buon senso di adattamento può andare bene.
