Hotel Colorado Playa del Carmen

Really nice place. Location is great, you can walk everywhere but it’s quiet at night. Good price as well and staff was really nice. Rooms are alright, nothing fancy but clean and working. If you want to socialise this is not the place and there are also no tours etc offered. They have a fridge in the room and a water dispenser, but no kitchen, though we didn’t need one. All in all we had a really nice stay.

What a genuine nice hostel. The hosts are just very honest, kind, motherly people. Really just feels like someone who has travelled and wants to welcome travellers to their city.

Has very convenient location

Basic room with most of the things you need (fridge, drinking water) in a safe and great location (walking distance to many restaurants and bars, and to the beach)

I loved this place! It’s nothing fancy and it’s true that the water pressure isn’t great but for our purposes it was perfect. Safe, great location, nice staff, and fair price. I like the quirky and colourful style.

I was pleased with nearly everything. As noted in some of the reviews of I remember correctly, you should be aware that the shower has virtually no water pressure at all, and never did get warm. I considered that an acceptable trade off for all the positives of the place. But it is something to be aware of.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Its a nice little hostel, with the little courtyard. Which is quite charming. If you looking for parties go somewhere else. We had a spacious private room with ensuite bathroom and a little kitchen. Everything was clean and at nights we could not hear a thing. The owner was really helpful and gave us some good tips and information. Definitely would go back.

Loved this hotel (which runs at hostel prices). Like a trip back to the 90s (not in a bad way). Close walk to the beach and shops. Great value.

We stayed here a couple of nights in a twin room. Not a huge amount to say about it, rooms were clean, had everything you needed in the room and was fit for purpose. Staff were nice and friendly. Security was good, all behind a locked gate. Few blocks over from the main tourist street. No issues.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. We asked them for recommendations for eatery and they were spot on! The place is very clean and comfy as well. The location is very great - less than 10 min walk to ferry pier and Quinta Avenue. We would totally stay here again the next time we come back! 10/10 would recommend!

A lovely hostel! The owner was very welcoming and helping! There is no common kitchen, which makes it more of a hotel than a hostel but there was a mini fridge in our room and the owner gave us what we needed!

very safe, near but not too near... you can sleep in night with nono problem, a lot of good restaurants are around

The location is great. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The facilities are old and could use some updating.
