Die Zimmer lassen sich nicht absperren, die Schließächer mit allen möglichen Schlüsseln öffnen und das Haupttor ist immer geöffnet. Auch auf Nachfrage gab es kein Klopapier und von der Sauberkeit der sanitären Einrichtungen muss man garnicht anfangen zu sprechen. Die Betten waren durchgelegen und laut. Bis um 2 Uhr nachts wurde laut Musik gemacht und getrunken, das ganze Zimmer hat nach Rauch und Bier gestunken und der Boden war klebrig. Die Klientel war unangenehm & für Frauen keine...
Dit hostel is ideaal voor wie na een nachtje stappen, ladderzat, zijn roes wil komen uitslapen. Voor alle andere gevallen raad ik het echt niet aan. Lawaai, niet proper, geen verlichting in de badkamer, enzovoort. Personeel is wel vriendelijk.
La limpieza bastante mala, NO tiene cocina el hostel y nos puedes prepararte ninguna comida y tampoco tiene un lugar para sentarte a comer tranquilo, las duchas son pésimas. No te tiene nada para taparte en la cama y tiene pajaritos encerrados en una jaula.

It was really nice staying here. We extended our stay for a few more days. Down to earth place and the staff Sarah and Olga was super friendly. Highly recommend this place.

Ein Alptraum... Ein anderes Zimmer bekommen als gebucht (später stellt sich heraus, das gelogen wurde über die Gründe). Auf dem anderen Zimmer ein "Gast", der dort sicher nicht mit anderen auf einem Zimmer liegen sollte. Dieser furzte, rülpste, rauchte und trank auf dem Zimmer und pisste neben die Toilette. Auch nachts. Von der Körperhygiene ganz abgesehen. Es hatte aber den Anschein, als würde dieser "Gast" zum Hostel gehören. Dazu kein Toilettenpapier. Ich wollte nur noch schnel...

Pros: Location 5min walking distance to main square Friendly staff Inexpensive Clean beds and towels provided Cons: Toilet couldnt flush away the 'heavy stuff' properly Toilet too close to beds so that everyone can 'hear' you while doing your business Toilet too cramped with the bath right besides the toilet Overall it was okay, but because of the toilet situation, I probably wouldn't select again if I can afford to. Great location, easy walk from the bus drop off. Staff were very friendly and had great local recommendations for food. Nice rooftop terrace as well! Bed linens were clean but the restroom ceiling was covered with mold. Funky smell in the dorm room, which I think was from the restroom. When I arrived, someone had already left a huge poop in the toilet also and the plumbing was unable to handle it. After a few days stay, I began to get sick from breathing the air and had to switch hostels
the shower has no hot water
I stayed there for 4 nights. The bed and sheets were very clean. There were curtains at your bed so it gave me more privacy. It was calm and clean
Das Hoja Hostel ist super süß und gemütlich. Es ist mit sehr viel Liebe eingerichtet, die Betten haben Vorhänge, jedes Bett hat eine kleine Ablage mit ein paar Büchern, im Innenhof hängen Pflanzen in gebastelten Töpfen aus Plastikflaschen.. Außerdem ist es sehr sauber. Ich habe mich rundum wohlgefühlt und der Host ist sehr herzlich und hilfsbereit.
There is regularly no one at the reception desk. The rooms are clean but there are too many locusts in the common area, not clean. Close to city center.

The gentleman who runs this place is amazing!! Otherwise, great hostel with standard facilities in a great location. There is very clearly a lot of love and care that goes into this place—very gorgeous patio space with great decorations.
The property was full of crickets, we had 4 big ones in our room and other bugs. It was not very clean and there was only one other guest there and we did not feel safe. It could be really Nice if the Cleaning was made better and no bugs… but the staff was really Nice and helpfull.
I loved my stay at Hoja! They accepted us very last minute and we’re incredibly kind. Everything was clean, the beds were comfy, the aircon was great and the decor was really cool. The manager was really helpful and worked very hard!
I stayed in four hostels in Tirana and this was the most expensive, had the worst facilities and the worst atmosphere. it's not bad per se, but I didn't think it deserved the 9,1 rating it has right now, and should be cheaper by how improvised it feels (I was locked out and inside several times). there was no staff there most of the time, so you don't learn about things to do in the city.
The hostel was in a good location, the staff was lovely and helpful. However, during our stay there was a school in the hostel which really used up a lot of the space. The kitchen was really packed and definitely too small of a fridge for the amount of guests they had staying, our food was labelled and the chucked out too. Our room was nice in terms of space, however we were met by unfriendly roommates (not really the hostels fault). We moved to Urban Elephant hostel in the end, if you are yo...
