Totora Surf Hostel

I don’t leave reviews a lot but I truly loved this hostel! The family running it (shoutout Diego) is so kind, the rooms are nice and a great deal for the value, the common area views are beautiful, and the location is great to walk to surf and restaurants, there is also a great selection of surfboards for all levels. One of the best hostel atmospheres I’ve experienced, super safe and very fun especially thanks to the volunteers too

Really good value for Huanchaco. Incredible view of the sea from the terrace. The volunteers were so friendly and had an incredible time there. Would 100% recommend and certainly be back soon!

Super séjour passé à totora surf school !! Le personnel est d’une gentillesse exceptionnelle et toujours là pour rendre service. Je ne peux que recommander et j’y retournerai !! Merci encore 🙏🏻

Genial! Estuvimos aquí una semana y no tenemos nada mal que decir. Está ubicado directamente en la playa, con restaurantes y bares al lado. Se pueden arrendar las tablas y wetsuits para surfear y todo. La gente que trabaja aquí es muy amable y la atmósfera entre todos está buenísima! Muchas gracias :)

Very dirty, no toilet seat on most toilets, toilet that had a seat had feces on it. Smelled bad. Awesome location

We booked a double room but when we arrived there was a miscommunication between the Hostel World app and the actual hostel so we ended up having to stay in a room with two twin beds. The bedclothes didn’t fit the beds, a pillow case was missing and we were charged 15 sole at check out to be able to stay in the hostel until our night bus. No drinkable water on site.

Hostel avec une ambiance sympa et bien placé mais les douches, toilettes, cuisine sont plus ou moins cassés ou en très mauvais état... Quand à l'eau chaude, j'ai changé 3 fois de douche mais je n'en ai jamais eu 😅 le filet d'eau est d'ailleurs très mince, compliqué de se laver les cheveux...

This was a great hostel, perfectly located right on the beach front. On Thursdays they host a great communal dinner, with a great vibe. Only things to note included the lack of sound proofing for the room (could hear everything on the streets at all hours), and our room had an unpleasant cat odour. No oven, otherwise well equipped kitchen.

we loved it, good vibes and the staff was incredibly friendly. They let us checkout late for our night bus, everything was cleaned every day, multiple bathrooms in the hostel and a beautiful rooftop chill spot. The best hostel we’ve stayed at in peru by far. Thank you again for everything!!

This hostel / hotel is perfect for a people who surf. If you need a surfboard or lessons, then this place has everything you need. After good surfing session you can enjoy beers and drinks at the hostel bar. From rooftop terrace you have a beautiful view to the ocean, waves and sunset. Staff is friendly and there for you if you need them.
