Mise à part la vue qui est magnifique l'endroit est horrible. Salle de bain dans le dortoir qui ne se ferme pas, cuisine extrêmement sale, draps sales, aucun équipement. Il n'y a pas de réception, j'ai du laisser l'argent en liquide sous une porte pour payer ma nuit sinon on m'a dit que ça coûterait 10% plus cher si je payais par carte. L'arrivée est libre et très mal expliquée, je suis restée enfermée dans l'auberge à clé toute la soirée car personne ne me répondait sur la locali...

La bombe ! Viny est très accueillant et sympathique, ses caipirinhas sont incroyables et ses conseils sont les bienvenus. la vie depuis l'auberge est dingue, que ce soit depuis la chambre où le rooftop où l'on peut prendre sa douche avec vue sur la mer et les collines surplombant Rio. Le quartier est super, pas très cher et on s'y sent bien.

I hate to say it, but this was my least favorite hostel in my 3.5 months abroad. I understand what the owner is trying to do, and to his credit, he’s very nice. stayed here during carnival, location is super hard to find, i arrived with a random guy in the vidigal faverla with a gun in his waist band and he asked me 'do you like violence?' i have the hostel a chance but its far from everything and if u dont want to walk 20 min up and down mountains, its 5R everytime you use moto taxi. the worker was kinda rude when i asked him to do somthing about the aircon (bearly works, and rio is SUPER hot) the ONLY good thing about this hostel, is the veiw. beautif...

If you are visiting Rio you must experience a favela and, this hostel is the best way to experience Vidigal favela. Vidigal is an amazing with cheap prices and authentic Brazilian culture here. It is very safe here. The manager Vyny is a genuine guy who welcomes you and takes great care of you as you stay, with a free caipirinha on arrival. The views from this hostel are incredible, with vistas of the ocean, beach and mountain. The downside is the steep walk but you can catch mototaxi for 5 reas

Honestly don't know how this property has received such high ratings, they're somehow gaming the system. I never leave bad reviews but this hostel deserves a low review for the following reasons: 1.) There's dampness and mould on the walls 2.) They put 9 people into what should be a 5 bed dorm - a girl had to go through my bed to get out of hers 3.) The location is not great 4.) The facilities aren't good 5.) The owner demands that you immediately pay, unjustifiably charging 10% extra for...

Do yourself a favour and go immediately to the rooftop and just admire the view, absolutely incredible! Vyny the owner is such an incredible host, he’ll personally welcome you, explain everything to you and make you a great caipirinha on arrival. This is more than a hostel, it’s an authentic experience in a safe and thriving community. Supermarket, all you can eat restaurant, barbers, bars all within a 50m radius of the front door, I highly recommend staying in Vidigal with Vyny!

Vidigal seems a safe zone, a little bit farer away, but ok. The view is great, and the owner helpful. That’s where the good things end. The kitchen is dirty. I have been in a lot of hostels with bad kitchens, but this one tops them all, you really don’t want to cook there. Room was okay, beds a little bit strangely arranged. Not very clean as well. Bathroom was dirty, and just cleaned after I asked for it after 5 days (7 people using it) as well as moldy. Not a very social ambience.

Vidigal ist sehr schöne und bunte favela, mit wunderschönen Aussichtspunkten und ganz lieben Bewohnern. Man wird auf der Straße stets gegrüßt und wenn man Hilfe braucht dann bekommt man sie auch. Auch das Hostel hat eine Terrasse auf der man über die ganze Stadt und das Meer blicken kann. Der Besitzer ist sehr freundlich und begrüßt dich mit einem caipirinha. Es gibt frische Laken und auch Handtücher. Es lohnt sich auf jeden Fall hier hin zu kommen und die Copacabanabubble zu verlassen.

Tolle und vor allem saubere Unterkunft ! Der Ausblick von der Terrasse ist wunderschön und nach dem ersten Schock (Hostel liegt in einem (ehemaligen) Favela), eine der tollsten Erfahrungen in Rio. Vor allem das Fahren mit dem Mototaxi macht super viel Spaß und ist eine Erfahrung für sich :) Der Strand im Tal ist ebenso einen Besuch wert. Im Gegensatz zu Ipanema und Copacabana ist es dort super ruhig, weil keine Verkäufer herumlaufen.

Me and 3 friends stayed at Natural Do Rio for 3 nights and loved it! The owner was very helpful and we felt very welcomed, he served us 3 caipirinhas when we arrived. The room was clean and with comfortable beds. I highly recommend staying at this hostel and enjoy Vidigal!

Perfect location and an easy walk down to Leblon and Ipanema. Felt nothing but safe and would recommend this hostel for everyone that’s looking for an authentic Rio experience.

We absolutely loved our stay at Natural Do Rio Guesthouse. Vyny was the nicest, most welcoming and friendly host we've had on our whole 3 month backpacking trip! Not only does he welcome you with a drink, he let's you know all about the neighbourhood and puts your mind at rest over any worries you might have had staying in a favela. We made friends from the moment we got there and spent most nights on the terrace where the view is absolutely stunning. Couldn't recommend enough. Thank you!

My girlfriend and I stayed here for a night during our time in Rio. Carlos, the hostel owner, was fantastic; he was very welcoming and was always ready to help us when we asked. Vidigal is a great place, very safe and vibrant. Although the hostel has very basic amenities, if you are willing to compromise luxury for a true authentic Rio experience then I would highly recommend this place.

Si quieres visitar una favela y sentirte 100% seguro, pues debes ir a este lugar. Vinicius te explica lá vida en lá favela. Y se puede caminar incluso en la noche (1am) sin riesgo de que te asalten o roben. De bienvenida recibes una caipirinha bie cargada para que se te quite todo el miedo!
