Travesia Hotel

We had a bad experience at Travesia Hostel. The owner overcharged us when we arrived and was adamant we didn’t understand the pricing on Hostelworld - but he definitely knew what he was doing. So not only was it overpriced, but also an uncomfortable couple of days given he’d basically ripped us off. The private rooms are okay but don’t have any hot water at all and we were only told this after we’d paid, we ended up having to use the communal showers downstairs. Breakfast is meagre.

We really enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was freshly made everyday and more then enough, everyone was incredibly friendly to us and very flexible (we got breakfast earlier the day we had to leave). The views are incredible and you are right in the center of Ancud. We highly recommend a stay here :)

such a beautiful and cosy place to stay, you can see the sea from the dorm and look out onto the sea when you have your breakfast. the breakfast included is delicious and filling and the atmosphere very homey. the host, Roberto, and his family are very kind and welcoming and make you feel very comfortable

L'hostal était encore mieux que je pensais, avec un prix si bas. Les lits et les espaces sont très propres, mes camarades de chambres étaient silencieux, sûrs et très très sympas. La personne qui m'a accueillie, Roberto, est au petit soin avec les clients, il sert le petit déjeuner inclu qui se mange avec vue sur la mer (mais aussi de quoi boire, manger si besoin, je vous conseille le pastel de choclo). Ça en plus d'une déco typique, canapés et Wi-Fi, pourquoi ne pas rester toute la vi...

Nous sommes 3 amis ayant séjourné dans cet hostel, nous avons fait une dizaine d’hostel depuis 3 mois et c’est notre pire expérience. L’hôte est désagréable, il nous envoie des messages en nous criant dessus pour nous dire de faire moins de bruit alors que nous chuchotons, il nous parle mal et n’a pas le même comportement avec tous les clients. La « salle de bain privée » dispose d’une douche froide, la chambre de « 4 lits » a en réalité 6 lits ( à 3cm du plafond). P...

I had an amazing stay at Travesia Hotel! Especially Roberto and Chanel made my experience here even better. They were very welcoming and shared tea and local information. I loved to be at the calm, sharing tearoom with a beautiful view of the beach of Ancud.
