Karuss Hostel

Cute little private room, with the most amazing hosts in all of Colombia! Luis and Leidy will not let you struggle alone with anything, they were some of the kindest and most welcoming people I have ever met. This place is clean and full of good energy, I met many beautiful local Colombians and South Americans there, who became my friends! Many people speak English and also it's a great place to practice your Spanish! I had planned to stay only two nights but I loved it so much I stayed longer!!

It is a nice place on a fairly quiet road in La Candelaria. The owners Luis and Leidy are friendly and welcoming and made me feel very much at home. Luis gave me a lot of great info about the neighborhood and about places in Columbia to visit next. It is an older building and I am a light sleeper so I notice sounds traveling through the hostel.

This was our second timing staying here and it was wonderful to see Luis and Leidy again. They are wonderful hosts and it feels like staying with family. Definitely recommend staying here if you're coming to Bogota!

The moment Leidy and Luis welcome you at the hostel, you feel right at home. I could not have wished for a better place to stay in Bogotá. If you go in December, don’t forget warm clothes! Thank you so much to the amazing hosts, I would always come back and feel like now I have a home in Bogotá :)

We had an excellent stay at Karuss. The owners were so welcoming and forth coming with advice on what to see and where to eat out. The room was clean and comfortable, and breakfast was a treat. Highly recommend this hostel for a stay in Bogata

I felt very comfortable here. The hostel is very centrally located. The most important sights are all within walking distance. The hosts are very friendly and welcoming. They gave me lots of tips and information about Colombia, which was very helpful for me. Thank you very much!

I enjoyed my stay in the hostel. Room was comfortable peaceful and private. Leidy and Luis were amazing and very helpful hosts. They even went above and beyond trying to help me with suggestions on my Medellín itinerary all the way from getting down from the airport and how to go to the city. Thanks for the great work! If you want partying and meeting a lot of new people this might not be the place for it. At least in the few days I stayed. This place leaned on the calmer private side.

Best hostel we’ve stayed in! Luis and Leidy are the kindest hosts—teaching us to cook arepas and salsa dance, making us amazing local food, and helping us plan our trip. They made us feel like family. The location is perfect: right in lively Candelaria but set back enough from the road for a quiet sleep. Rooms are spotless and comfy, WiFi is strong, and the peaceful courtyard is a lovely place to relax. Truly a special stay. 100% recommend!

We could not have picked a better place to stay in Bogotá. Leidy and Luis really looked after us well. We stayed for 5 nights in total, either side of a trip to Venezuela and they let us leave our luggage there for free. They were very helpful and gave us lots of recommendations on what to do in the city. Leidy even gave us chocolate bars and coffee during our stay. The property is well-located, within 10 minutes of most popular tourist spots. It is very secure as well. Amazing place!

I’m glad I stayed at this hostel. It is perfect if you want a quiet and relaxed hostel. The staff is very helpful with everything, even with what to do in cities all across Colombia, transportation methods, ideas for plans, what to watch out for, etc. Luis knows a lot about a lot of Colombia and he’s happy to help. It feels extremely relaxing and very secure (big lock on the front door). Location is great, walking distance to a lot of attractions, bars, whatever you want. I’d stay here aga...

Très bon séjour passé au Karuss Hostel. L'auberge est très bien située dans le quartier de Candeleria, proche des sites touristiques principaux, de restaurants, bars, transports,... J'ai eu la chance d'avoir une chambre privative au lieu de la chambre en dortoir. Les hôtes étaient très accueillants et m'ont donné de bons conseils pour mon voyage.

Loved my stay here! Leidy and Luis were super friendly and made me feel at home when I landed in Bogotá, they also helped me plan my whole Colombia itinerary! The place was spotless, had good places to chill and was in a great location

I had a brilliant stay at Karuss hostel. Luis and Leidy are amazing hosts. They made me feel so welcome in Bogotá. The hostel is clean with great facilities and is located in the perfect area. There is a chill atmosphere in the hostel so it is perfect for anyone who wants to relax. I will be coming back to Bogotá just to stay with Leidy and Luis in Karuss hostel. I absolutely loved staying here. Louis and Laedy who own this place are the best people..I can not say enough about how kind they were to me..They picked me up at the airport and spent time drawing a map and help me plan my whole trip to colombia..Louis has much knowledge of his beautiful country..Rooms are so clean and roomy, bathrooms as well..I can't think of anything I did not like...you will love it..say Hello from Laura when you go...

hostel is great. is a great location to walk the historic district. main bus is 2 blocks away for longer distances.absolutely enjoyed my stay. will stay again if I am in Bogota in the future.

This hostel is close to candelaria but not in the full chaos, which is really nice. The hosts were very kind and gave me a very welcome feeling.

Leidy and Luis were such amazing hosts. As soon as I arrived, I felt welcomed and was given a rundown of what to do in Bogota and the surrounding area. The hostel is in a very convenient location; perfect for walking, with several restaurants and attractions nearby. Despite this, the hostel was quiet and safe. It was also extremely clean and the bed was quite comfy. Leidy and Luis truly go above and beyond to make their guests feel comfortable. I would definitely recommend staying here:)
