Für Karneval das einzig bezahlbare Hostel, aber die Lage ist top: Lapa ist zwar eher unsicher, aber dort und Umgebung spielte sich alles ab. Aber für das Geld (zu Karneval die dreifachen Preise) ist das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ziemlich schlecht. Die Küche ist super klein und unstrukturiert, wenig Duschen und Toiletten und die Zimmer sind sehr einfach. Die Enge des Hostels wirkt sich positiv auf die Atmosphäre aus: Man kommt mit allen ins Gespräch und verabredete sich für Blocos und Ab...
honestly it was not as pictured. the bathrooms and showers were dirty. the rooms were not good. the electricity goes out almost every night and I wanted to spend as little time there as possible. i wish I could get a refund.
What a horrible place, please avoid staying here at all costs! The place looks nothing like the pictures, you don’t get a key or pass to come in an out of the hostel and there is so much dirt everywhere. I got bed big bites and as soon as I got to the dorm the place had a lot of dust. There were no windows either, just shutters that remained open. Also the stairs in the bunk beds are falling off and the mattress are full of sweat stains. The manager smokes weed at all times
All in all a nice hostel. Ive been tjere during Carnaval and the positioning was PERFECT!!! Not everything was perfect tho. The kitchen was a bit eww but the people in the hostel and the host Gonzalo made up for it. I wish i could get the time back we had there. 9/10
+ Boa localização no bairro, próximo do agito da Lapa mas em uma rua que não chega o ruído e movimentação de pessoas, ambientes limpos.
- Foi informado que havia horário limite para banho, achei a exigência estranha, um lugar pra apoiar objetos no box do banheiro tambem seria ótimo. Uma pessoa do staff me pareceu um pouco seca, nao foi grosseira em momento nenhum mas poderia ser afável, apenas uma sugestão...

- *I was asked to pay a 30% PRE-PRAYMENT to secure my booking* and when my tickets were cancelled and I was considering canceling my booking for the hostel, they wouldn't give me the money back, so *it's NOT true that the cancellation is free of charges* The kitchen was too small and smelling bad The staff didn't inform me much, unless I asked directly The electricity hasn't worked for some hours and the staff wasn't really helping/answering The water hasn't worked for 1 and ½ days and the solutions were kind of poor (considering that is something that happens frequently in Rio de Janeiro)

- Todo fue malo, la atención del personal
+ It’s within walking distance of several of the tourist attractions, and the staff was incredibly helpful
Had such a lovely stay here! The owner and staff were so friendly and were always around to help if needed. Really clean place. Spent new years here and it was great. The block lost access to water for one of the days I was there and Gonzalo organized a way for us to shower at another location while he got it sorted. Would totally stay here again :)))

- A acomodação poderia ter sido um pouco melhor.
+ Os hosts são muito amáveis, muito cordiais, foram muito hospitaleiros, se dispondo a ajudar com informaçōes e me deixaram muito a vontade, mesmo com todas as atividades pessoais e profissionais que eles tinham. Super recomendo o hostel pra quem busca um local pela Lapa.

+ Gonzalo es un anfitrion maravilloso y es sin duda lo mejor del hostal. Siempre disponible a darnos consejos sobre Rio de Janeiro y tmb a echar unas charlas interesantes. El hostel està en una posicion comoda y tranquila (claro, siempre hay que echar un ojo) Uber llega rápido y la estación del metro queda a diez minutos caminando. La cocina está muy bien equipada y llegando en esta temporada habia poca gente. De hecho compartimos cuarto solamente con dos personas más. La ducha además es caliente y todo el hostal estaba bien limpio! Es un hostal basico pero la verdad que estuvimos a gusto.Recomendado
- El ruido del ventilador en la habitación es bastante intenso aunque claro, mejor así que morir de calor😅
