Beachfront Playa El Amor

One of the nicest hostels I’ve stayed at! Right on the beach, amazing views, you won’t be bothered by anyone here. Oswaldo (owner) is also a great host and very nice to chat to!

This stay is special, the view is amazing and you just feel so Comfortable. Oswaldo is a great host, who helps with everything and became a good friend in a short time. Thank you and a luego!!

The location of this place is perfect, located right at the beach. You can hear the waves. There is a moto stop nearby so you always get to the centre quick if needed. Furthermore the owner, Oswaldo, is very friendly and speaks English. He can give some good recommendations on things to do and places to eat. I wanted to stay an extra day and it was no problem at all. Overall a really good and clean place to stay.

The place itself was clean with towels and fresh linens. The owner was very responsive, friendly and quick to fix any issues that presented. The shower head was electrical and did shock my boyfriend a few times when adjusting it. The beach itself was beautiful. The location is on the far end of the beach from town but was a lovely walk for us.

Oswaldo war super lieb. Die Aussicht ist der Wahnsinn. Die Lage ist etwas nebenan, aber ich habe die Ruhe sehr genossen. Ins centrum sind es nur 10 Minuten zu Fuß.

There is no better location to stay in Mancora! Oswaldo is very kind and attentive. The rooms are really clean and the beds are very comfortable! The kitchen is also very clean and well equipped and there is even drinking water in the rooms. I kept extending my nights there because I enjoyed it so much!

The location is beautiful, right on the beach. Unfortunately, I had an unpleasant experience with the owner. At first he seemed nice and we cooked together, but afterwards he became pushy and made inappropriate comments about my body. I also met two girls with the same experience. When I wanted to leave, he didn’t want me to go. For couples it may be fine, but as a young solo female I strongly advise against it.

Me encantó el hostel, lo único malo es que no me hayan dejado quedarme más días. Oswaldo es sensacional como anfitrión, las cabañas están frente al mar literal, te prestan la cocina y juegos como pelota de voley y raquetas de tenis. Oswaldo siempre está pendiente y tiene mucha sabiduría qué compartir. Las habitaciones se conservan limpias y siempre te dan toallas frescas. En la noche hay zancudos como en toda Mancora y es algo complicado conocer gente si te quedas en las cabañas, pero...

Mein Aufenthalt bei Oswaldo war 12/10! Es ist ein perfekter Ort um abzuschalten, das Meer, die Ruhe, den Sonnenuntergang und einfach sich selbst zu geniessen. Oswaldo hat mich herzlich empfangen und einen sehr angenehmen Aufenthalt sichergestellt. Ich werde garantiert wieder nach Mancora gehen und weiss auch bereits wo ich übernachten werde. Die Unterkunft am Playa El Amor ist ausgezeichnet. Oswaldo ist ein äußerst freundlicher Gastgeber. Die Unterkunft ist in bester Lage. Wenn man aus dem Fenster schaut, sieht man das Meer und wenn man einen Fuß vor die Tür setzt, dann ist man auch direkt am Strand. Die Unterkunft ist außerdem in einer sehr ruhigen Gegend Máncoras. Ich habe den Aufenthalt hier sehr genossen. Vielen Dank Oswaldo!

We stayed almost a week with Oswaldo to arrive to Peru and plan our trip for the next weeks. We came as guests but left as friends because Oswaldo treated us as we were family. He had tons of tips and tricks for the travel which was very helpful. He also helped immediately in case of questions or problems. The stay itself was also very nice. The place invites to relax at the beach or in the hammock just in front of the door. Of course you could also do day trips from there.

stayed here for a night before I moved on to Ecuador the next day. Incredible location to watch the sunset, room was really clean and all facilities worked as they should. The owner was really friendly and allowed me to stay quite late so I didn't have to walk around with my bags all day, 5 stars

La ubicación gana todo, la playa es muy linda y también nos pareció ser la mas limpia de toda mancora. Hay espacio para disfrutar en tranquilidad (tambien con sus mascotas). Además Oswaldo es un host muy amable y con buena onda, se aseguró que no nos faltara nada.

I would not stay here. The place is nice enough for the price but not worth having to deal with the owner. He was argumentative, threatening and difficult to deal with. He would start arguments, not stop, threaten us with hostel world action and insult us. He is known by others in Mancora for this behaviour. This is the worst hostel experience either of us have had in all our years of travelling.

Highly recommend for somewhere to chill out and unwind! Oswaldo was super attentive, helpful and kind. The room was basic but spacious and clean. We loved reading in the hammocks and chilling out on the deck. Thanks again Oswaldo!

Really enjoyed our time here. Hard to beat being right on the beach, enjoying the sunset from the porch was incredible. Just secluded enough, town is a short walk or cheap tuk tuk ride away and yet you feel like you’ve got the beach to yourself. Would recommend!!

Oswaldo is a super host; friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. The place is clean and comfortable and the perfect environment to de-stress. The beach is right outside the door and ocean views from the deck / hammock. Falling asleep and waking up to the sound of the waves was amazing. I booked one night and stayed three!
