what a hidden gem! definitely worth more than its score. it has hairdryers and big makeup mirrors! best showers i’ve ever had in a hostel food was really good too will definitely stay here every time i come to koh tao
Really nice place , really good food 😋,chilled atmosphere away from the loud music and good place to drink especially before Escobar jungle party 😝🌴 Highly recommend 👍🏻
Had such a lovely stay here. The staff are super helpful and it is only a short walk to the beach.
Overall we had a great stay in jungle hostel! John and all the staff were really attentive and helpful! clean rooms, recently renovated and some pretty decent english food! the dogs are adorable and the atmosphere is chill-party with some good value drinks packages. don’t be fooled by thinking it’s further away than some of the main hostels, it’s less than a 10 minute walk and with a ped takes genuinely 1 minute for the price deffo worth it, would 100% stay again :)
This was the best hostel I stayed at on koh Tao after being there 5 months!! They have such a social vibe there, so easy to meet people and plenty of solo travellers that turned into big groups by the end of our stays. They have loads of rainfall showers and beds are super comfy. Loads of comfy seating too - hammocks and sofas! They just added some paddling pools aswell to deal with the heat!! Staff are so attentive and the owner always makes an effort to make sure everything is okay.
Great stay! The staff were very friendly and the owner was very welcoming as well. Everything was kept very clean, with staff always maintaining the space. The location is convenient yet quiet at night , making it a perfect place to stay. definitely recommend!

Nice hostel in a great location, only a short walk from main area and beach. The owner John was really friendly and easy to talk to if you have any issues, and the rest of the staff were lovely too. Reasonably priced, would defo stay there again as they seem to be doing lots of work to improve the hostel as well!
I love Jungle hostel! It’s clean. There’s loads of new facilities. The staff are amazing. And I will definitely come here again. The atmosphere of the place is really welcoming and I met some of my best friends here that I will probably know forever. Short walk from Sairee if you don’t drive is a plus ++ 10/10
We booked 6 nights, left after 1 due to false advertising. The 4-bed en-suite dorm was a box inside the 12-bed room, the door didn't shut never mind lock and our toilet was not in our room, it was out in main area inevitably shared. No security, no key and unlocked doors 24/7. In my bed beside my head had a sliding window into 12 bed dorm that wouldn't lock. The outdoor area didn’t match photos, and construction noise started early. overall cleanliness was poor. Not worth it.
The place was okei, was bugs at my bedroom, and the bedroom was insanely uncomfortable. So be careful. Looks much better in picture Than real life
no idea why this place gets negative reviews, it’s perfect! showers are the best i’ve had in thailand, glam room is a touch, food is incredible and the staff are so friendly and helpful

liked this hostel. kinda expensive but was still chap in comparison. would recommend but bring bug spray, got eaten alive
I had a lovely stay, the room was clean (with amazing AC) the facilities were superb, the free coffee and filter water was a great touch. The staff asked me everyday if everything was okay and were so helpful, especially at sorting a taxi to the ferry. The full length mirror and glam station were great. And I loved the Tiger beer on draft in an ice cold glass and I had a proper full English breakfast! Great stay, really lovely time at Jungle Hostel!
An sich ein schönes Hostel mit netten Mitarbeitern, aber hatten mehrmals Ungeziefer im Raum und das Bett war voll mit Tier Haare. Personal meistens ab 8 Uhr anzutreffen und ich persönlich finde dafür 95 Euro die Nacht (privat Room) zu teuer.
Sadly the property was under a extensive construction, which drags the score down
Wasn’t advertised as still being built. Woken up in the morning to building work/loud music playing. Lots of rubble, equipment laying about. Location wasn’t an 8 minute walk to beach. More like 15-20 minutes. Hostel advertised social events but when asked the staff had no clue/not organised anything. Staff didn’t really engage with hostel users. Offered free coffee in morning which was good. Rooms were big and good AC. Could do with more showers. I wouldn’t stay again.
