S Phuot Da Nang Hostel

I saw multiple rats run past my feet when on the ground floor. The reception is not 24 hours I walked around the hostel for an hour before anyone came to reception. My bedroom door didn’t close and whenever someone opened the door it bashed into my bed keeping me awake all night. Also there is no social aspect to this hostel, the pool is not clean and whenever I wanted to use any of the facilities ie the massage chair it was being taken up by staff. Would recommend going somewhere else lol

It was very cheap, so you get what you pay for. However, the dorms didn’t look very clean. You also only get a very thin blanket, and the AC is really cold, so we had to sleep in long pants and woollen shirts to keep warm because they couldn’t offer extra blankets. Not very social and the common area isn’t that inviting. But only 15 minute walk from a nice beach!

Don’t bother with this hostel book a hotel instead and just meet at the party hostels for a good time. Receptionist was so rude, there’s no social scene, it genuinely seems like they don’t want you there.

Beware anyone that takes a night bus and is arriving in late, the reception is not 24h as they claim! I called in advance to let them know I was arriving late at night so they gave me a number to call. When I arrived, nobody answered the number they provided, nor the other number they have written down at the check-in desk. I had to wait a couple hours until a member of staff arrived. Good hostel with all the necessitiea for a backpacker.

I don‘t get the bad reviews at all. It is good value for money. Everything important was clean (bathroom, toilets, bed). One of the receptionist was one of the cutest i‘ve ever met. She even shared some food with me and was really kind in general. I was able to leave my luggage there after check-out. The location is great too (street food, beach). The receptionist is extremely rude!! she yells at you, and treats you badly. Even though the site says the towel is included,She asked for 30k VND for it plus a 100k VND deposit for it. I asked her for toilet paper because there was none left, and she ignored me telling it wasn’t her problem.they charge 5%which isn’t specified on Hostelworld) for card payment so I told her I’d go to ATM for $, she said no and cancelled my bed. Hostel is located about a 10 min walk from the beach so good location, the vibe at this hostel is a bit strange, not really social and staff not very friendly but for the price it does the job. The facilities are clean and I would stay again.

Terrible Experience with Discrimination — Chinese Guests BEWARE I suffered blatant discrimination here. The front desk was rude, impatient and rolled eyes at Chinese guests. All Chinese travelers I met were treated badly, while foreigners got polite service. The hotel is old, with small iron beds and no hairdryer. Staff was unhelpful and dismissive. I strongly warn all Chinese travelers: avoid this hotel!

Staff were really rude, hostel was over crowded and unclean. We booked an emergency hotel for the evening it was that bad!

good quick laundry service

We arrived quite late and had booked two beds in a mixed dorm, however they didn’t have enough beds for us and split us across different rooms. Bathrooms were not cleaned and unhygienic, plug holes filled with hair and bins overflowing with tissue used menstrual pads. One of our beds had bedbugs which has left bites all over her, and the night was interrupted by people slamming doors and being unnecessarily noisy (this was the guests not the hostel’s fault). not a social hostel but a great place to stay for the price. in a nice area with yummy and cheap local food. can easily get a grab down to the bars and other social hostels if u want to meet other backpackers
