This hostel is a cheap place to stay among the dive resorts. The staff were super friendly and helpful, and I enjoyed the company of their 3 cute and friendly dogs. Unfortunately, the place had a serious mosquito problem, which the bamboo huts did little to provide respite from. Also, expect the most basic shared shower facilities, with the water running out from DIY PVC shower heads. Also, the staff kept smoking despite telling us that it was against the rules.

The owner admits in a email that the place is filthy, kitchen is unsanitary, staff are noisy into late hours,dogs and chickens everywhere. HOSTEL World do the right Thing. Remove listing.

Okay for one night's stay. The rooms are basic bed, no ACs, only fan room. It wasn't hot though because rooms are made with local materials (bamboo, etc.) and not concrete. Location is great too, it's safe and cozy there. The hostel attendants were kind enough to wait foe me because I checked in late (for an additional fee).

I loved this hostel! Only 3 minutes to the beach and the food is incredible! Bit of a mission from the Port but I loved it!

Staff were so amazing. I arrived at 1am after transport problems and they checked me into a private room to not disturb the dorm. The common areas are awesome, hammocks are so good. Location is quite far from Batangas, would be best to hire a scooter so you can see all the attractions around the area. I stayed at the hostel the whole time and walked to a small beach access 5mins away. Rooms and facilities are basic but goes with the vibe.

Rustique Rue was the hidden gem I was searching for! I was looking for a quick and easy beachside getaway close to Manila. I spent 6 nights at the hostel in a shared Kubo, met like minded travellers and snorkeled in the reefs directly off the shoreline just a short walk away. I truly enjoyed my stay at Rustique Rue! The hostel is beautifully made, just like in the pictures. I love their chairs made out of old tires! I went there during the week, and the hostel was really quiet, perfect for some relaxing time in nature. You can relax in the hammocks, do yoga on their terrace or go to the ocean, which all feels just so good! And, of course, in the morning, I went freediving with coach Gammy.
