The Orchard (Hostel Private Bunks)

The facilities are recently renovated with a clean and new appearance. The bunks are unique. If you do not like a small sleeping area this may not be the space. Choosing the lower bunk option will give you a more room like feel. Either option does allow a person to fully stretch out. The top bunk reminds me more of a top bunk on a SCUBA dive boat I have experienced. A well equipped kitchen but, with only a single burner induction cooking plate. It could use a couple plastic burger flippers.

I booked this as an option if I could make it there for a night, paid a non refundable deposit! Then 6 hours later I realised we wouldn’t make it, rang and cancelled and they exercised their right to charge the full amount for 3 people!!! After 6 hours!! Like they missed a whole stack of bookings because of me…? Pathetic operation

The hostel was clean and the private bunks were really comfortable. Unfortunately there weren’t many people staying so the common areas were really quiet. We did not meet any of the other guests to make friends. Temperature wise, the bunks were very warm, almost uncomfortably so. The water in the shower in the morning was luke warm. Super tolles Hostel! Habe mich sehr wohl gefühlt und das Personal war super lieb und zuvorkommend!

Nice modern clean place, friendly staff , the top bunk of crab apple is too close to the roof so you don’t have much room but it was good for one night. The smoke detector battery was low so it beeped all day and night I wore ear plugs so I slept through fine. Thanks for the stay I would stay again.

Very pleased

Neat use of the space. Perhaps a bit too ambitious in how much was crammed in though. Clean, new but very cozy. Staff was excellent. Hopefully it will be maintained well.
