The perfect place. Great quiet location, run by very friendly cheerful family, food was fantastic and rooms clean and with piping hot showers which is very nice up in this cool climate. Stayed 6 nights and planning to return. Absolutely recommended!
10 out of 10 would recommend this place. Not only was the property absolutely beautiful, but the family who runs it is extremely kind and sweet. As a solar traveler I was immediately welcomed by the owner’s daughters. They showed me around the town and even helped me find things I needed. Karaoke at night was also a highlight. I would definitely recommend staying longer than most people do. I stayed for about a week and I could’ve done longer. Thank you, Rin and Winnie!
Perfect location if you want to climb Mt Sibayak, you can start by foot from the hostel directly ! The staff is super friendly and helpful. The restaurant is also really good. Cold shower though, and considering the altitude it’s really cold.
The toilet doesn’t flush which isn’t optimal when you have food poisoning. Also definitely not the cleanest but if you’re just looking to stay there one night or two to see the volcano it’s fine. The staff is really nice too.
Set up high on the hill with obscured views over the city, but rooms were long past their best
Very friendly and helpful hosts, nice big rooms, tasty food, comfy bed. Definitely recommend!
Really lovely stay. Room was very clean. Nice view from the bedroom. Nice through-breeze from one side of the room to the other so no need for air con. Great food in the restaurant. Organised the Sibayak hike through them and would really recommend the trip
I had such a lovely stay here. You’re able to book the volcano tour at the property, which also includes the hot springs and the waterfall. The basic room was spacious and has a nice terrace area. The grounds are really lovely and staff were so friendly. There is a restaurant on site which is great for breakfast. Also offers dinner so you don’t need to go find anywhere. It’s a half an hour walk in to town which I did a couple times and was easy enough.
lovely staff, great food , beautiful location and gardens. Room was very basic with no hot water, mould in the room and the water turned off for a while, but the room was incredibly cheap so you get what you pay for - overall fine for a short stay to climb sibayak but if staying more then two nights or not a backpacker would upgrade to a better room
This was a nice short stay and a great location if you want to hike up Simbayak and visit the hot spring. The garden and surrounding area is very peaceful away from the main road, the host and family are really lovely and friendly and great to talk to.
Amazing people running a beautiful property in this green and quaint town of Berastagi. I came for a day and ended up staying a week. Vinnie makes amazing food so you must try the curry in the restaurant when you are here.
