Sydney Hostel

I just got back from Amman. The hostel is really bad, very dissapointing. The rooms are smelly, bathroom is horrible, no cleaning and no hair dryer. Egypt is an Arabic country as well but the hostel I stayed was amazing. Jordanians don't know what a hostel is, I suppose. I woluldn't reccomend it at all altough the location is superb.

The fact this establishment is run as a hotel and a hostel, I rate the hostel experience as above average regarding design and atmosphere. With this, you can choose to stay in the hostel part while you enjoy the local hotel experience. The staff was very friendly and helpful

Good and safe place to stay, well connected and close to Amman Citadel and Roman theater and downtown shopping place. Felt bit bad as i was misguided on tour package.

I enjoyed my stay in this hostel and the stuff are just stars (helpful, sociable and amazing people).

The best place in all Jordan, and I think the best hostel/hotel I have been while traveling. Super clean, all of the staff are attentive, efficient and happy people. The breakfast was good, if you ask, they can make you an omelet in the moment. Super recommend this place to anyone who is going to Amman.

Well run hotel/hostel in a well located part of Amman. Clean, spacious room, ideal for single travelers. The standout of the hotel is their staff, who are friendly, knowledgeable, and most of all helpful. They will go out of their way to ensure that you get what you need and are always open to give their advise. Would happily stay here again on my return to Amman.

very close to the main street (restaurants, bars, market), free parking in front of the hostel. the boy at the reception was very nice and helpful. nice atmosphere and cozy living room to meet the other guests.

Very nice staff, they kept my luggage as I went away for a week. Beds with curtains. Kitchen outside and very few utensils. Good showers and well located !

Everything was excellent. Clean rooms&bathrooms, nice staff and good location.

Nice and convenient place downtown, staff very helpful arranging rides through Careem services. As well giving directions.

Sydney Hostel is a great hostel. The mixed 6 bed dorm is air conditioned with privacy curtains and there are lockers. The staff are extremely helpful and speak perfect English. The hostel is also well situated close to downtown but just far enough off the main road for it to be quiet. There is also a kitchenette for those who want to cook. Would strongly recommend

Overall this was a decent hostel, the staff are polite and the location is very good. But it didn’t have too much atmosphere and you don’t get free towels.

Mehr Hotel als Hostel mit nur wenigen Dorms und vielen Doppelzimmern. Gute Lage nahe Downtown. Gemeinschaftszimmer und Betten gut und groß. Schließfächer nur auf dem Flur, Kühlschrank auch. Küche nicht zum selbst kochen geeignet. Bad war sauber, Ansonst auch alles. Gemütliche Außenterrasse. Ganz gutes Frühstücksbuffet zum Aufpreis. Bietet auch Touren und SIM-Karten an. Sehr hilfsbereite, nette Mitarbeiter. Wirklich gute Adresse in Amman.

Hostel très bien situé ! Les dortoirs sont confortables et les chambres privées d’autant plus (nous avons pu tester les deux car les dortoirs étaient en travaux le deuxième soir, ils nous ont alors déplacé dans une chambre privée). Les salles de bain ne sont pas irréprochables niveau propreté mais rien de choquant. Il y a une petite terrasse très agréable et une petite cuisine extérieure. Le petit dej est très bon et le personnel serviable

Nice place to spend a few days in Amman. Locations great right by the downtown, lots of places to eat around. The rooms were good as well. I found the staff not friendly or helpful though. Was a struggle trying to plan trips with them and in general they didn’t look like they wanted to be there and were rude. Never saw them smile or look happy once. Overlooking that I might stay here again even though the vibe wasn’t the best.

Great hostel. Great location. Comfy beds with privacy curtains. Nice social area. Free lockers, just need to bring a lock.
