Location, Location, Location

It’s so cheap in price I can’t complain, even though the bunk was too short for my 6’3” height, and the bars to the top one hurt like heck on my feet. The towels were worn with holes in them, but again, can’t complain for the price. It is in a convenient location and was plenty quiet for me. The staff at the front desk was friendly.

I’ll start with the positive, the staff were friendly and helpful. The location isn’t bad being about 20 minuets walk from downtown. However, the pricing is all over the place, my first night was charged for 94$ the the next two were 33. The shower had no hot water, they wouldn’t let you drink a beer in the common areas, the room had no overhead light only reading lights. The stoves didn’t work, it’s a cheep motel they converted into a hostel and if they sold it like that I’d get it ...

Clean, friendly, and full of charm! The staff were welcoming, beds comfy, and the location perfect. Great vibes and amazing value—would definitely stay again and recommend to fellow travelers!

Great value hostel - if you’re looking for a place to stay, look no further. Facilities are great. Free laundry and nice kitchen area. Not very social but it’s such a great place to stay!

Situated in a very happening location. Good staff and cleanliness.

Super chill place. I stayed in the female dorm and really enjoyedi the space. Lockers are in the dorms and cozy blankets for the bed. I will definitely stay here again.

Very clean bathroom in dorms. common areas well laid out with communal kitchen. People overall very friendly.

Fine for a hostel. Dead boxelders on the window sills and plusher towels would be nice. Not much space to hang wet towels for a six bed room. Other than that my stay was perfect. Really enjoyed the kitchen facilities and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

Motel Durango makes a really good effort. The facilities are fantastic, especially the kitchen and the free laundry. The rooms are clean, comfortable, big and have good bathrooms. The staff are great, friendly and helpful. But, our dorm door didn't lock. The top bunks are very awkward to get into. Overall a good hostel, just needs a few details attended to.

Super cheap and perfectly located to hike in the Rocky Mountains, visit Mesa Verde, or simply explore Durango. Don’t expect much for this price. You’ll get a shaky bunk bed with stained mattresses and pillows, a locker and some free coffee. That’s all fine by me, but the hundreds of bugs crawling all over the room are unacceptable, even for this low rate. If you’re not into bugs, definitely reconsider. The kitchen is nice and new but lacks basic equipment like bowls and salt!

Was Good the only thing that I saw was some insects in my room but the kitchen was pretty clean and the other areas are comfortable

Die Matratzen sind leicht veraltet und die Küche ist schlecht ausgestattet. Sonst war alles sauber und gut zugänglich. Eigenes Bad in einem 6 Bett Zimmer. Ein bisschen zu wenig Platz auf dem Oberen Etagenbett, aufrecht sitzen ist da nicht möglich. Der Pool und die Aufenthaltsräume sind sehr einladend.

Squeaky bunks, poor layout. Most of the staff were very helpful and nice. Can't fault the place for the loudest snorers I have ever heard, but there were issues of cleanliness in the bathroom. At the end of the day, it's the cheapest option for a bunk in Durango and so I would probably stay there again.

The staff is great, specially Joe , the manager is super nice and always ready to help and give you advice about places to go. The shared bedroom is simple, clean and has a modern bathroom with tons of hot water, fresh towels and nice light. The mattress was comfortable and the bed linens were fresh clean. The. I stay at a lot of AirBnB places because I enjoy meeting people from all over the world. And that is why I like to stay at Hostels. In addition, the price and location made it an easy choice for me to select the Hostel in Durango. There was only one other guy there at the time and, even though I arrived well after dark, he told me where to find the light switch and directed me to the proper bunk. And that is another thing I like... people who stay at Hostels are usually friendly and helpfu.

Great place, great location, great internet, kitchen/eating area and common area. Very clean place as well. I am looking forward to returning.
