Tropicana Hostel

nice localisation, clean hostel, with really good food and drinks. a nice really small pool. it finishes at 11 pm, so not a party hostel and not that social. the only thing I didn't like is at there are 2 buildings, and I was placed in the other building where there was no pool & rooftop. so you need to walk to the other building everyday, it's on the corner tho. but it would be nice if the two building connects, because now u were just like u were not port of the hostel.

Tropicana was great, we did the Fuego hike with them and then stayed with them a few days after. It’s a big property with two buildings, great social environment. Pamela was great with recs and helping us with stuff through our stay.

They charged me $50 for a no show fee for the second night and stopped responding to me after I called them out. I have a charge in my card from them the day k checked out for laundry I did thru them because I actually stayed the two nights. Unbelievable.

We loved staying at Tropicana! The atmosphere was amazing and booking with the company for the volcano hike was definitely the best option.

The staff is incredible ❤️ I felt safe the whole time. It's also very close from everything.

the property was great. loved the chill and calm feeling of it. was great to come back for a break between doing activities. it was kept clean and people were respectful of eachother.

Good stay close to everything and as a base to do Acatenango. Very social hostel, which came with a lot of noise especially if you were in a dorm near the pool. Not a lot of bathrooms and showers (especially when offering showers to everyone returning from acatenango), shower also very small with no space to put your things. Overall though a standard hostel experience!

It was amazinggg. So friendly

My sister and I stayed at tropicana for 4 days on our trip to Guatemala and it was perfect! The staff was very attentive and helpful, the facility was clean, and the location is perfect. The nightlife was fun but also shut down around 10 to allow people to sleep which I approached. The volcano tour was also amazing. I would 100% recommend staying here. We did stay in a private room which was perfect but from what I saw the shared spaces were clean and roomy.
