Zagreb Speeka Hostel

Standard hostel, the bathroom and common areas were a bit unclean at times. The toilet was missing toilet paper and no one was at the reception. Otherwise the rooms were okay and good to stay in for a short stay.

I waited 10mins on arrival to be let into the hostel. There was no one on reception. When I was charged more at the hostel than what Hostelworld told me I owed. The hostel is on ground level which is good for access but also made it a little scary sleeping with the windows open (which we had to do because it was so warm). It might be better for security if there were bars on the window to prevent strangers entering. The hostel itself is on a road of strip clubs, just FYI.

The men's bathroom was interestingly clogged and unclean.

Heel fijn hostel met erg aardig personeel. En er is een mooie ruime keuken, huiskamer en badkamer.

No lockers, located on a very busy street directly opposite a strip club. Also plug sockets were very limited in the rooms

My stay was okay, but with some downsides.There was no air conditioning in the room, so we had to sleep with the windows open. Because of that, I heard every car and motorcycle passing by during the night, which made it hard to sleep. Not every bed had its own power outlet, which was a bit inconvenient. Also, there was no option for a personal locker — I had to share one, which didn’t feel ideal.That said, the location is great if you’re planning to stay just one night and want to be close...

Terrible hostel, the whole place stinks terribly. The common areas were filthy and the kitchen was not a place you’d cook in. The bathroom was the worst part, no toilet seats on the single toilet, overflowing urinals and the smell was unbearable, I walked in a genuinely gagged. The room I stayed in stank of BO and alcohol, no lockers, very unsecure. The room itself was falling apart literally, I came back to my room and there as a bit of ceiling plaster on my bed. Do not stay here!!!

There was no staff there when I arrived, but the door was open. I never saw the staff while I stayed, and when the door was locked, I was given no information on how to get in

disgusting place, more of a homeless shelter than a hostel. naked old men staring in the bathroom, which had standing water in the sinks and overflowing toilets. smelled awful. ran away asap.

I'll try to be as objective as possible but it started with not being given the code to the door to enter the hostel, then walking in to a room with chipped paint on the walls and a bed with not outlets near to charge my phone, topped off with a bathroom that was half flooded and smelled terrible, a shower door that didn't fully close and was clear glass so anyone can see your business while you're showering. Physically couldn't pay me to stay here again

Cosy, tidy and relaxed hostel. Living room area feels like someones home and the kitchen has everything plus a dishwasher machine!!! The manager is super kind and helpful. I had a late flight so while spending tge day in town, I was allowed to leave my lauggage in the hostel at no extra cost. The hostel is very close to the heart of the city from where I took a free walking tour. I could also could walk from the bus station to the hostel (in a bit more than 20min).

I wish the toilet was cleaner

Wir waren eine Nacht im Hostel- Pro: sehr gute Lage& in der Nähe eines Parks; cooler, freundlicher, hilfsbereiter & flexibler Betreiber(wir durften unser Hauptgepäck nach dem Check-out noch im Empfangsraum lassen) -Contra: unklar, wen man persönlich bei Problemen ansprechen kann (Betreiber aber gut über WhatsApp erreichbar); Bad feucht und riecht bisschen; unklare Regeln in der Küche,Anweisungen zum Ein-/Ausräumen der Spülmaschine fehlen. Zugegeben, es war erst unsere zweite Hostelerfahru...

One of the nicest hostels I have ever stayed in. The owner, Daniel, is super friendly, always smiling and ready to help with anything you need. Excellent WiFi, well equipped kitchen, and comfortable beds. Highly recommended.

Great location! Shared, but separate men/women bathrooms and always clean. I appreciated that my room was placed near the women’s bathroom. Good and cozy atmosphere- both the place and the friendly staff, kinda felt like living in a shared apartment. It was a little too humid inside, and bed sheets smelled very musty. Bed was creaking and a little uncomfortable. Also the room wasn’t very soundproof both from the traffic outside and other guests talking. But overall I enjoyed my stay!

Vintage old hostel located near the city centre. Only downside is no air conditioning

This hostel is not worth staying in, it has little to no atmosphere and NO AIR CON. This is a big let down especially when travelling in the middle of August. The showers don’t lock so anyone could just walk in whilst you’re in there. The place smells of smoke not to add it is located on a street with two strip clubs- not a safe feeling as female travellers. Over all this is a sub par hostel, don’t waste your time or money.
