Get Hi Hostel

When I arrived in chiang rai I was a little worried there wouldn’t be much to do but staying here there was nothing to worry about. They offer activities daily as well as recommendations, tours, bike rentals and very sociable friendly staff and volunteers! This was the highlight of my trip so far. Very very clean and the showers are amazing, toilets on every floor and kitchen for guests to use + free breakfast every morning!!! If you’re worried about activities this is the place to stay!!

Great hostel with lovely staff - so helpful and friendly, they helped with transport and hiring scooters and connecting you with other travellers for activities. Real family feel

This hostel revived me for real, such a great, homely vibe and the owners and reception team were so lovely, accommodating and genuinely personable people who actually take genuine interest in helping you plan your travels in and through Chiang Rai. Couldn’t recommend it more if the mega party hostels are wearing you a bit thin. Thank you Get Hi!

One of the best hostels I've stayed at. Owner and volunteers made it feel like home. Incredibly clean, good AC, secure (door locks + front gate). Right by 7-Eleven, short walk to laundry, night market, and bus station (Chiang Rai is small, so everything's quick by scooter). Also helped me find a doctor when I was sick and had great recommendations for everything. Activities every night (game night, karaoke, etc.). Truly can't recommend enough if you're stopping through Chiang Rai.

Easily one of the best hostels I’ve stayed in. The vibe is spot on - relaxed, friendly, and social without being over the top. It’s easy to meet people in common areas or through activities. The staff are approachable, helpful, and welcoming. Everything is clean and well maintained. Beds are comfortable with good privacy, plus secure lockers. Great chill spaces and a convenient location near food and things to do. Great value overall. Would definitely recommend to anyone! I’ll be back :)

This hostel literally revived me. I was in a bit of a slump before Chiang Rai but the staff and volunteers are so kind, and there’s activities every night that make it easy to make friends. To top it all off everything is really clean and comfortable! They also give you a step by step explanation of the slow boat, which I’m sure is super helpful if you decide to take it to Laos!

Best atmosphere ever. Wasn’t sure what to expect when I rocked up but got given a nice overview of Chiang Rai from the staff. Everyone feels like a family quite fast when you get involved in the social events (e.g. going to the night market or the bars). The name is also punny so extra stars for that too… could’ve stayed here another night

One of my favourite hostels I have ever been to! I was meant to stay 2 days but extended to a week. First is the most incredible person ever, Pear is so beautiful and lovely. Princess Tiana and Prince Simon are the most beautiful humans and Kai was fab. I’ve been recommending this place to everyone I’ve met, immaculate vibes and people. This will make your Chiang Rai experience and it honestly is one of my favourite places in Thailand. THANK YOU SO MUCH! I wish I could go back right now ❤...

Amazing hostel. Dorms spacious and beds comfortable. Bathroom facilities were good and kept very clean. Breakfast was yummy. Right next to 7/11, bars and restaurants. Staff were amazing, Pear and First super friendly and gave us so many recommendations on what to do. Hostel organises a tuk tuk tour around the main sites for 300baht pp, had the best time. Social activities every night as well. Had the best time staying here, definitely recommend.

The hostel itself was fine. But all the staff will try and get you to extend your stay, or chance your plans for transport to some of their own. It was a constant salesspeech, and I just wanted some peace and quiet. And the constant pestering is enough that I would not stay here again. This is a shame, since the other aspects of the hostel was fine.

Perfect hostel, helped with all our needs regarding getting the most out of Chiang Rai food and activity wise. Would recommend to everybody I meet for a perfect Chiang Rai destination.

Best overall Hostel experience! Really treat you like family. Staff make great recommendations on things to do, nightly Hostel activities and support you. Property is very well maintained. Staff of First, Pear, Marvin and rest of team are elite. Deserving of one of highest ranked in world at 9.9, all guests bring great vibes. Honored to be a guest ❤️ if you wanna deep dive in culture rent a scooter, makes exploring so fun! Don’t think just book it!

Only Hostel I would stay at in Chiang Rai. First, Joe and all the staff do a great job of making people welcome.

this hostel was amazing!! the facilities were nice and clean, it’s very social, and the location is good. most importantly, however, the reception team really went above and beyond! they were so helpful in explaining the slow boat, recommending things to do, and even picked up my laundry so i could go on a tour! couldn‘t recommend this place enough :)
