Stilts Backpackers Diani Beach

Lovely place to stay! Right in the middle of the bush, but still near the beach and the sea. Stayed in a cottage. Spacious and clean. The chance to feed Bushbabies, or just to watch Colobus Monkeys, Velvet Monkeys or even Baboons makes this place unique. With a little bit of luck one can even see DikDiks in the thicket. Amazing hostel for the price, the bushbaby feeding is a great experience, the food and beer is affordable and the staff are hugely helpful. If you go to Stilts make sure you talk to Ali the staff member, he is a great guy who has top recommendations and really goes above and beyond. 10/10

Unique jungle vibes in Diani! Jane and the team are super friendly, the open-air cottages put you right in nature with monkeys and bush babies around. Great location, just 5 minutes’ walk to a lovely beach. Highly recommended for nature lovers and calmness seekers!

Bush babies are cute

If you are looking to be in the nature with comfort , this is the right place for you. You will be surrounded by monkeys and baby bushes. The location is perfect, close to the beach and the supermarket. Also you are allowed to use the private beach of Flamboyant hotel. The staff is very nice and arranging

We had a lovely stay, staff are great and provided everything we needed. The pool is shared with the hotel on the beachfront and you pay 1000kes to use it. You can have lunch for that price tho which makes it great. Camping is really camping and there are no lights at the camp spot so make sure you are well prepared. Great stay

Good location but other than that wouldn’t recommend. I stayed in a tent which had some interesting marks on it and a rip in the side that I had to fix with tape to stop mosquitoes. Don’t be fooled they do not have a pool the one pictured is actually at another hotel that you have to pay to use and if they are busy you can’t use the sun beds there. Also was noisy at times sounded like someone cutting metal. The place could be great but needs some upkeep and be honest about the facilities.

The hostel is quite nice with the treehouses. But you should not consider it, when it is raining, because literally everything is getting wet. If the sun is shining its a good place, although the mattresses, the mosquito nets and the bed sheets need an urgent update! The stuff is very nice and helpful, feeding the bushbabies is fun and Food/Drinks are good.

Stilts tree house is the best place you can stay in Diani. They have tree houses, cottages and tents. I had the opportunity to sleep in the tree houses and in the cottages and I’m so happy with the experience. The monkeys and the birds will come close to the houses so you can enjoy the view of them eating and playing. And to me, the sweetest moment is the feeding of the bush babies. The staff is super nice and friendly, specially Jane. Would recommend this stay 100%!!

we loved staying at stilts. The staff is very friendly and welcoming and the price for drinks and food is very good. Everything was very clean and we felt safe there. It is a 300 meter walk to the beautiful beach right next to kite motion surf school.
