Ariana's Galapagos Hostal

Overall, the property had everything that we needed, a place to sleep and good air conditioning. It's located pretty far from downtown, but the walk was enjoyable every now and then to see the town and the $2 taxi was worth it when we weren't up for the trek. The downside isn't really much to each around the hostel itself and there was no breakfast or any food at the hostel as mentioned. However, the owner was nice enough to give us from bananas that he had gotten from the highlands when he met ...

We werden ontvangen door een enkel spaans sprekende dame, maar verder niemand gezien gedurende ons verblijf van 4 nachten. Uiteindelijk zelf via Whatsapp contact opgenomen om te melden dat we niet kwamen ontbijten. Ook geen schone handdoeken en ook de prullenbak met toiletpapier werd niet geleegd. De afstand naar het centrum is 20 minuten lopen, dus in de avond namen we een taxi van 2 dollar. Het ligt wel rustig, dus slapen doe je in alle rust.

A little bit out from the downtown area, but we enjoyed the quiet. Very clean and host is very kind and gave great recommendations and helped us with a taxi from the airport. Warm showers!

Very nice big room and huge comfortable bed. Gabriel was excellent host and assisted with all local travel needs, it is at the end of the town, but taxis circle all the time for $1.00 to centro. Highly recommend.

Be warned before you go that reception on the islands can be really spotty, so hostel management can be tough to get a hold of/you should coordinate pick up before arrival since it’s very hard to contact anyone at the canal. The location is also near the edge of town, which makes it quiet and not as touristy as other places but is also a longer walk to the pier and such if that’s how you prefer to get around. Island taxis all knew the hostal though and were very helpful. : )

Tasty and filling breakfasts, really kind and attentive staff, and they were quite flexible about meeting our needs (adjusting breakfast time to when it was convenient for us, letting us do a late checkout, etc). Would highly recommend for those looking for a quieter hostel stay!

The room itself was clean and quite nice. Unfortunately it is a fair walk out of the main area (15 minutes or so) and can feel a little sketchy at night. When we arrived, there was no one at reception and it took a good 30min before I found someone to give us our keys. The rooftop patio is very nice but it seems they let friends/family up so the were lots of kids crying and everyone looked at us like we shouldn't be there when we went up to have a beer. Overall has potential but falls short.

Nice place on the outskirts of town no complaints

Great location. It is walking distance to the main strip of restaurants and shops. Very favorable priced. It is easy to get a taxi from the area. The room was clean. I got a private room. No noise and very peaceful where the hostel is located. Hostel quick response to inquiries.
