Hoi An Blue River Hostel

Lovely balcony, view felt very open. A bit far from the centre which is hard when hot and alone as a female. The pool I wouldn’t use I don’t feel was safe or clean. Social area is nice and open

Honestly an amazing experience. The host Linh, was always happy to help. In a town that seems like a bit of a tourist trap she would always try to make sure we weren’t spending more than we needed too and was booking things directly for a cheaper price than we wer finding on the street. The hostel was very chill and slightly out of the centre, this was great for being able to sleep at night. Very affordable and convenient, would 100% recomend

The staff were kind and helpful, which makes this hard to write. However, they first told us the hotel was overbooked and messaged on WhatsApp trying to move us to a nearby hotel, despite our room being booked months in advance. After we asked for photos, they suddenly had space. The location is a bit far from downtown. The room was poorly cleaned with dirt buildup in the bathroom, the pillows were moldy, the bed very hard, and the AC turned on but didn’t cool. We ended up checking out early.

Everything was quite nice at the Blue River hostel. It is about a 20 minute walk to get into the town but they offer bike rentals which I highly recommend for exploring Hoi An and surrounding areas. Nhan was very helpful and the breakfast was good.

Thanks for a lovely stay. So close to ancient town, 5 minute scooter or 20 minute walk. Very friendly and attentive staff that gave lots of solid local advice. Only complaint was our room was damp. The sheets were damp the whole stay, making sleeping uncomfortable. But this was only a minor issue and the breakfast was delicious. Would definitely recommend

Linh was a lovely host with good breakfast and large beds. We felt very looked after during our stay as Linh gave great recommendations for activities and tailors in the area. I would recommend and stay again!

Host is really lovely and helpful. Breakfast is nice. Private room spacious, clean and nice- however the bathroom has basically zero ventilation so the whole room felt and smelt damp. Fine in the day when I could open the balcony doors but in the evening and morning times it felt very damp and musty. Definitely more of a hotel than a hostel- not somewhere you would hang out with people. Overall though not a bad spot

Linh the owner is amazing!!! She helped with anything we asked and gave us great recommendations. The room was big with a balcony and we could rent bikes to tour the city

Pros: -Big room -nice balcony view -bicycles available to rent- 50k/day Cons: -quite disorganized (They asked us 4-5 times over the space of 2-3 days when we were checking out. They also mistakenly tried to charge us the full price having forgotten that we had already paid a deposit on HostelWorld) - the swimming pool area was poorly maintained. There were two sun beds but they were in the corner surrounded by bushes. The pool didn’t look clean. (It was very hot and sunny during our time)

I absolutely loved my stay here! Not too far from things and it's nice and quiet. Plus, Linh was such a great help and told me about all the good spots to go to around town. The best restaurants, tours, and tailor!

Amazing hostel. The location was perfect for me and my friend, as it’s only a short walk into old town, but not close enough to any of the big bars to disturb your sleep. The staff are all great and will take good care of you. They offer some really nice activities and even gave us suggestions for what to try and eat, what to see, and which shops to go to.

Highly recommend: We had an amazing stay at Blue River! Linh was amazing, so sweet and gave so many recommendations for tailors, food, and Hoi An in general. Everything was so lovely!! Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Linh Nhan was the absolute BEST host! It’s in a great location for getting around town and we had so many great recommendations when we were here. Very clean and was overall a great stay. Highly recommend

Nice clean place to stay, the weather unfortunately wasn’t the greatest for my stay here but I’m sure with the sun out the pool would get a lot more use! I liked that people used the communal spaces pretty often. And linh was so great and helpful. So many recommendations of things to do places to go (and those to avoid) We showed up really early from the bus we took, and unfortunately couldn’t get checked in THAT early, but as soon as a room became available she got us in. :)

We had a wonderful stay and highly recommend this place. Everything was very clean and well prepared. The location is slightly outside the center, but the old town is just a 30-minute walk or 5 minutes by Grab away. The pancakes at breakfast were delicious. The owner Linh was incredibly friendly, helped us book tours, gave great recommendations, and always made sure we were comfortable. Five stars!

Linh was an amazing host, giving me recommendations and advice on the tailors and places to see/ avoid. The hostel is clean, pretty and overlooks the water, my room had a balcony which made it all the better. Highly recommend ❤️
