Aylen-Aike Hostel

Such a homey vibe. I’ve stayed at ~100 hostels, this would easily slot in my t5. Great spot to meet people and go hikes with, super social, amenities are solid and Sebastian and Ben are great as well. Recommend 10/10!

Such a lovely hostel and the people running it were so kind and accommodating! One of the staff told us that the aim of the hostel was to create a home away from home and we really felt that. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, there was a well stocked kitchen and plenty of communal spices to use. We would definitely stay here again if we’re ever back in El Chalten!

Great hostel! Best (free) towels ever. The owner is very helpful showing you how to get to which hikes and when to go to avoid fees. They have hiking poles you can use for free as well. Hostel is very clean and cozy. There’s a wonderful woman who comes in every morning to clean and even makes the beds! Highly recommend staying here.

The hostel is immaculate, which is very impressive as everyone is coming back after a long day of hiking. Towels were included, beds were always made. Very easy to meet others to hike with and friendly owner who ensures everyone is welcome and gives you a map highlighting all the trailheads. Had a lovely stay!

Would highly recommend staying here!! The owner was very nice & chill, the place was clean & cozy. It was also very social. They also had poles that we could use for the hike that people left behind for no charge.

An excellent hostel, the staff are so helpful with planning hikes etc. the towel is an added bonus!

Lovely hostel in a great location. Hostel owner is super helpful. Not the most comfortable bed and the lockers are small so you can only put valuables in- as there are no locks on the doors, I think the lockers could be bigger. Still a cosy hostel with a roaring fire and nice views.

Super clean and cosy hostel! Hosts were super helpful too! Lovely rooms, bathrooms and living area. Beautiful view of the lake, I recommend this property! Location is slightly out of town, 15-20 minute walk but there is a huge supermarket a 4 minute walk away.

I loved staying at Aylen-Aike hostel. The staff is very friendly and they take great care to keep the place clean and organized. The atmosphere is cozy and the small size of the hostel made it easy to chat with people and make plans for hiking. The rooms have limited space to put bags, but this was not too big of a deal. My only recommendation would be to have a clearly marked “free” bin for dry food and food in the fridge, as there was a lot of unlabelled food hanging around.

Sebastien en Benjamin zorgen ervoor dat je je echt thuis voelt. De bedden zijn comfortabel, de sfeer is goed en de badkamers zijn heel schoon. Je krijgt een super grote handdoek en de douches zijn geweldig (beter dan thuis!!!!!). De andere gasten waren heel aardig en respectvol

I really enjoyed my stay here. The facilities are great, the room and kitchen are a little small but the atmosphere and vibe of the hostel make up for it. Super clean and comfortable too. Would stay again and would recommend to anyone :)

Best hostel I stayed at across 5 while travelling in the area. Owner is really nice (and hilarious) and has been at it a long time. I enjoyed some great background music in the living room (not too loud). No charge for towels which was pretty unusual in the region. Common area encouraged socialization, just large enough to make it easy for everyone to move around the kitchen, but small enough where you could join in different groups' conversations if you wanted.

Excellent hostel. Comfortable rooms, very clean, good location and a decent kitchen. There’s a really good atmosphere and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend!

Sebastian is a wonderful person and hoster. Created such a cozy and friendly environment in his hostel. Definetely recommend it to anyone.

Loved it there so much, Sebastien is a king and was super cosy sociable vibes, felt like we were staying in a family home in the best possible way

Gezellig en knus. Beperkte ruimte en voorzieningen, maar mede hierdoor een heel sociaal hostel. Makkelijk contact met andere reizigers en erg vriendelijk personeel.
