Chato Hostel

Really cute hostel, entrance is through a lovely cafe with amazing matcha. Great room and comfy beds. Not social as I was the only person in the dorm. Was perfect for my one night stop over in Pakse.

Staying at Chato Hostel was very comfortable, the place is modern and clean and the beds are very comfortable. The café downstairs is cute. It’s not very busy (yet). The owner is very kind and everything is organized very well. You can arrange everything you need from the hostels and they link up with other hostels to organize group tours. I also booked my bus to the next destination from here. Organized very well. Only downside was that the dorm was quite warm at night.

Bonne auberge pour le prix, serviette fournie, casiers. Comme d'autres l'ont conseillé : n'hésitez pas à aller à Saga Hostel juste à côté, même si vous dormez à Chato, que ce soit pour les petits dej, les tours, etc Car à Chato, ils ne proposent pas de repas à la vente, et pour sociabiliser, l'endroit n'est pas top, mais si vous voulez du calme allez y les yeux fermés !

Really enjoyed my stay! Dorms were quiet and i could rest after the thakhek loop !

Amazing hostel for the price. Room was clean, spacious and even had a balcony with a drying rack. Bathrooms were clean, only complaint is one of the showers didn’t work. Staff super helpful and friendly and even put our bikes in the living room overnight so there was no chance they’d get taken. Would recommend this hostel.

Great location, beds were comfy, water stopped working in the morning when we were there so difficult to have a shower and clean teeth etc

I loved the property, staff was super friendly and make sure you have everything you need. The coffee here is the best I tasted across LAOS. The hostel is clean, with oodles of privacy. Minutes of walk from bus stop. Must Stay if you are around and looking for a place to stay

Pretty chill hostel. Not super social but was able to have a nice chat w some ppl in the rooms. Nice bathrooms, comfortable beds with curtains and a light. Only thing is the bed frame was a bit see thru so awkward seeing ppl sleep

Very clean, bed very comfortable and room spacious. Good amount of showers and toilets. Showers seemed clean and brand new but didn’t really work. Very helpful woman at the front desk. Definitely not the most social hostel but overall a very comfortable stay.

This is a place with potential if managed correctly. Good location, clean and safe. The staff didnt speak English and they didnt advertise any tours or renting options.

Shower water pressure was pretty much nonexistent. No soap at the sinks. No locks on the dorm doors. The lockers weren’t big enough for bags. They did seem secure enough to leave items but at the same time the fact that anyone could walk in and bust the lock open made it where I just kept all my stuff with me that I wasn’t ready to lose. Great wee clean hostel, cracking coffee

Absolutely loved the facilities! The rooms and bed was the best I’ve had in a long time! The hostel is so cute and cozy, and they had water and toast for breakfast in the lobby area. The staff were so cute and always wanted to make you feel comfortable and help you out any time. They really went the extra mile for me.

Hostel qui passe, rien de mauvais en soi, mais si vous hésitez entre celui-ci où celui qui se trouve juste à côté (littéralement le batiment collé, qui s'appelle "sanga hostel" ou qqch comme ça) foncez dans l'autre ! Ils ont des glaces maisons gratuites et bananes gratuites, plein de bons plans pour les activités, vous expliquent quelle boucle faire avec la moto, un resto vraiment pas mal, ambiance backpackeurs, et ils parlent anglais ! tout ce que Chato n'a pas.

Decent stop for us on the way to Don Det from Thakhek. The guy at the desk was helpful as we were getting stuff sorted for the border crossing in to Cambodia. Room was nice and clean, just no key/lock for the door. Toilets/showers were clean.

all in all a nice hostel, not that social, but the location is great and the staff was super nice :) the facilities were okay, but there was a lot of space, which was nice
