The best accommodation you could ask for! Everything was wonderful; the hostel is run with great warmth and care by Tugba and Emre. It’s in a perfect location, just a 7-minute walk from the ferry terminal and 2 minutes from a delicious Turkish bakery and many wonderful little bars and restaurants. It has a lovely little communal kitchen, and we were able to get fresh drinking water every day. Emre and Tugba offered their assistance every day and were able to help with any questions or problems...

Emre's place is located on a quiet street in Kadikoy within walking distance of transportation hubs and the more lively part of town. The house is a blend of old and new, with more than 100 years of history yet modern in renovations. I had nothing but positive interactions Emre as the host. A couple of notes: (1) Those with limited mobility may have trouble climbing the staircase, (2) Sensitive sleepers may have some issues with noise from other rooms, and (3) Communal space is limited.

Best equipped hostel I’ve ever stayed in! They thought of EVERYTHING. Convenient to transit, groceries, and restaurants, and in a nice, safe, quiet neighborhood. There isn’t a lot of common space but we got to chat with different guests when we met in the (beautiful) kitchen, and everyone was lovely. Emre and Tugba popped in most days and were available by text when they weren’t there, which was very helpful. Do have cash available to pay when you arrive as cards aren’t taken.

This was one of the best hostels/bed and breakfasts we’ve ever stayed in! Kadikoy is a perfect spot in Istanbul as it allows you to see the Asian side and experience more of the local living. Tilas was warm, inviting, and so comfortable. It had everything we could need and more. The kitchen and coffee was great and it was very convent to have access to a washer, hair dryer, iron, and umbrellas. If we ever come back, this is where we’ll stay again!
