Happinest - The Backpacker's Hostel

Overall a pleasant stay. The property is in a good location and staff friendly. The 3 showers were out of order when I arrived but was resolved quickly and the showers were a bit unclean however beds were comfy and clean. Water pressure was variable and sometimes made showering challenging. But overall a decent stay.

This was my first ever hostel stay, and the Happinest team made sure it won’t be my last. As a first timer, I had plenty of concerns around cleanliness, safety, privacy, and most importantly, whether I could adapt to sharing a room after more than a decade of living solo, even at home. My only real concern is the location. While it’s very close to Bandra railway station, it sits in a narrow lane where cabs can’t easily reach. stayed here for one night and was quite disappointed. The property looks outdated and lacks proper maintenance. The dorm rooms are extremely small, with no natural light and no privacy curtains.The washrooms were not up to the mark — low water pressure in the jet spray, no toilet paper, and no proper shelves for toiletries.Overall, the place needs renovation and better upkeep. Not sure how it has such high ratings.

Great hostel. Friendly staff. I get along well with the dormmates also. One advantage is that the hostel is quite close to the railway station so great accessibility. Theres a washing machine for doing laundry and theres a small stove for making small things like eggs and making tea. Overall this is a good hostel to stay at and you'll meet a lot of interesting people.

We had a really nice stay at Happinest! The staff were very friendly and helpful, you can securely leave all your stuff without worrying. Good facilities including kitchen and plenty of very clean bathrooms. Really comfy bed which I slept well in every night. Overall great value for money and would stay again. Thank you!

Great hostel in the back streets of Bandra West amongst a fun locals market, with train station close by and great restaurants. Staff were lovely and the vibe was great, met some amazing people here!

Happinest was a really good choice for me. I felt very safe during my stay and the staff was very helpful when rebooking my room. You have the chance to prepare SMALL meals in the kitchen and it's a great space to meet people. Everyone living there was super nice and we used to watch movies at night:) The hostel is not too far from the train station, otherwise there is not really too much in walking distance (shops), but enough autos available. It was pretty clean with filtered water available

The hostel is in a great location and the owner is very professional and communicative. I had to cut my stay short in the female dorm as the hostel also caters to long term guests and there was an unsavory character staying in the female dorm, controlling the aircon and if changed mentioned, would argue with you. This ruined my stay and seemingly creates an unpleasant atmosphere

Happinest really is a great place to stay. You will meet the greatest people and the staff are super friendly and helpful. It’s clean and has basic amenities with a few extras you’ll be happy to discover. I would stay there again for sure!

very good hostel , especially for the location for it being 20 minute walk from the train station and 20 minute walk from the sea 🌊 😀 although i i stayed in a mixed dorm which was my choice but i think the staff were sleeping in the dorm to , so it puts of the whole point in traveling and meeting people if the beds are taken by the staff! But i met some incredible people too!
