I really enjoyed my stay. The staff are so welcoming and do a very good job in my opinion. The hostel had everything I needed, and it was nice I could experience Fontainebleau without needing to rent a car or bring crash pads. Thank you!!
Amazing hostel for boulderers.
Great vibes, accommodating staff, great amenities, affordable--everything you could want in a hostel! It was our favorite of our whole Europe trip.
Patrick was an incredible host with plenty of local knowledge to offer and a lovely guy! The hostel was in a great location: Bouldering (20 minute walk from L'elephant) Fantastic bakery down the road for that morning climbing fuel 15 minute walk to a supermarket Great Kebab shop and pizza place within 1 minute walk There was cooking equipment and cutlery, fridges and freezers for use, even tea, coffee, salt, sugar, etc.. An absolute gem of a hostel, I'm looking forward to returning!...
Patrick was great and so welcoming! The hostel is very closely located to a few of the main bouldering areas. Facilities in the hostel were very nice and the ensuite bathroom in the room was very clean.
Patrick is an excellent host, he taught me everything I needed to know before bouldering in Fontainebleau for the first time! I had such a great time here! I can't wait to come back next summer!
Amazing place where everyone had fun and very close to great bouldering but can be a bit annoying to get to the hostel with irregular bus services in the area. Very nice cooling area and Patric who is the nicest person and extremely helpful.
Very nice hostel to stay if you're planning to climb, and you'll probably meet other climbers too. I camped here with some friends for 5 nights and would recommend it. Patrick is very friendly and accommodating. Laid back atmosphere.
Patrick provides an authentic and welcoming environment. I camped and was given blankets to keep me warm! His genuine nature appears to have attracted a similar kind and I wish I could have stayed longer. Merci and danke :)
Great place for the solo traveler. La Chappelle is a 45 minute walk to Elephant boulders, but you will want a car to explore the rest of Font bouldering. Patrick is an excellent host. There is a large supermarket about 1 km away. The hostel has a good kitchen and plenty of space in the fridges. I recommend the hostel and would stay there again
The hostel is a very friendly place and with an amazing host. Patrick runs a tight ship in a very caring and compassionate way. Not afraid to tell you when you're breaking rules and is very grateful when you clean up messes left by others. The facility was very clean and nice to stay in. The kitchen had a lot of space to organize meal prep and to cook without feeling crowded. The dorm rooms were comfy with ample space for personal stuff and the showers where great after a day of climbing.
Great place to stay while climbing in Font. Makes logistics super easy with crashpad rental, parking, access to rocks and markets.. It was not my first time and will go back for sure! =) Kitchen during peak hours was a bit overcrowded and was hard to get access to cooktop.
the other reviews weren’t lying, patrick is That nice
perfect place as usual
Absolutely magnificent place for solo travelers like myself. Was able to walk to the crags and also make friends at the hostel. Climbing people are very friendly and so is Patrick. Great place to go by yourself or in a group. Great value for Money also.
I really liked the atmosphere here. It felt like a little home, cozy and welcoming. Patrick is so kind and helps a lot with questions about everything : where to eat and how to reach the boulder sectors etc. I will definetly come back!
Patrick is super nice! Coming back again soon
Fantastic hostel with great accommodations. Found plenty of people to climb with and the hostel is very close to some world class bouldering. Clean beds, clean showers, plenty of space to store food and drink. This hostel has it all. 11/10 will definitely be coming back for my next Fontainebleau trip.
Great location and fantastic vibe. Cool climbing community. Camp site was good and basic. The common area could have been a bit cleaner and kitchen, bathrooms etc were outdated and not clean. But think that most of the people that stayed there didn’t mind and were ok with it. The atmosphere is great and best spot to meet people.
Excellent stay. Patrick is super friendly and easy going, the location is awesome, a few doors down from a delicious bakery and a 40 minute walk from incredible bouldering areas. I’ll definitely be back.
