Amaya's Hostel

+ Le logement: visiblement pas d’entretien régulier car peu de passage. Forte odeur d’humidité très très désagréable. 2 chambres avec une clim portable assez bruyante sinon chambre avec ventilateur. C’est la mère du propriétaire qui nous a accueillis. Vicky est adorable et a fait le maximum pour nous installer. Une cuisine est à disposition et on trouve une petite épicerie dans le village ( restaurant fermé ce dimanche là) Le village est très tranquille et bien entretenu.

- On pensait venir car ce village compte un centre d’études des tortues… mais tout était fermécar il ne fonctionne que durant la saison courte des tortues.Du coup rien à faire si ce n’est une balade sur la plage. Pour venir de Tortuguero le bateau public demande 35 dollars par personne : trop trop cher. Surtout quand on apprend que ce serait le même prix pour aller de Tortuguero à Moin( Limon) Le sentiment d’avoir été volés pour rien même si le trajet Tortuguero Parismina à 7:00est très beau. Du coup pour repartir et aller à Limon: bateau pour Caño blanco 5 km à 5:30 puis bus à 6:00 pour Siquirres puis bus pour Limon ( un ttes les heures)

+ Great accommodation for a longer stay. The shared spaces (kitchen, outdoor seating, etc.), the room, and the private bathroom met our expectations. Very comfortable beds. Mosquito nets were available. The owners were very kind, gentle, and friendly. They cooked a wonderful meal for us, we spent Christmas there, and it was amazing. Thank you so much. Every day, they asked if everything was okay, and it always was. We will stop by again on our way back. We look forward to seeing you again soon. Parismina allows you to see things you won't see anywhere else. In a small area, there are monkeys, various bird species, and sloths. We were lucky. The beaches were empty and still beautiful! The kitchen and seating area exceeded expectations. Oven, microwave, even a rice cooker. Beautiful surroundings. A friendly village with small local shops selling mixed goods, fruit, vegetables, bread, etc. The soda restaurant cooks wonderfully. Simply a wonderful 6 days, highly recommended. We love animals, so we spent more time observing the local wildlife.

+ Our host was fantastic, really friendly and helpful. Given its a remote place to stay anyway and that's what you want, it's a great location right next to the beach and local eateries. We had a tree in our garden with iguanas in it.

- Nothing.... my pillow was a little uncomfortable but hey it's a hostel and great value.

+ On a adoré Joshua et sa famille, la rivière à traverser pour atteindre le village absolument hors du temps et ses adorables habitants... Un enchantement du début à la fin.

+ The property was great. Perfectly located within the village. Clean room and facilities. Many hammocks around to unwind in. The locals are super friendly. Vicky next door is a real gem! We can’t wait to go back
