The hostel it's not very social and whilst there, there was a big group that filled almost the whole place. So the kitchen was full of their stuff (and sometimes ververy disgusting, e.g. with open raw chicken outside, full if ants etc). The kitchen lacks some utensils. Christian didn't really make us feel welcomed, more the opposite. Thanks instead for Luz who is always smiling and helpful. The location isn't great, better get a scooter and stay outside or stay in the center.
The Rock House is very nice and Christian and Luz are attentive and kind. I was disappointed that my AC didn’t work properly so I didn’t manage to get much sleep on my 3-night stay.
Great little place, out of town so it's quiet! Definitely recommend if your not into the big city vibe. Room was fine, we had our own shower and common area outside out room. Lots of places to Lounge around. Good deal!
Great place to stay. quiet, comfortable and clean. The owner Luz and her son Chris were very helpful. Definitely when i go back I will stay there. Recommended
The owners are incredibly friendly and helpful. Hostel is clean, quiet and has great outdoor space. The iguanas are cute.
Christian and his mom are a lovely hosts, we enjoyed our stay. Everything was clean and organized, thank you 🙏
An excellent hostel if you like a quiet atmosphere. About a 20 minute walk to the malacon. Or a quick cab ride. Luz and family are very kind and helpful. Would recommend.
what a great place! I recomend you to get a bike with cristian and roll around the island, its perfect!
The hostel is very beautiful, it has an incredible view. But the big difference is the service. Chris and Luz are very attentive and affectionate with travelers. They help in everything and make the trip extremely sensational.
Great place to enjoy Santa Marta without the craziness. Doña Luz is a sweetheart and will help you with anything you need. The walk to the downtown can be a bit tiring, we found best to rent a scooter and get to know the island a lot better. The place is quite and very beautiful.
The location is a little out of town which means it quieter, but easy to reach with the bus or a rented scooter. The owner Luz was super sweet and very accommodating in many ways. Would recommend to stay here if you’re looking for something more peaceful and quite. The two dogs are a plus
This hostel was very beautiful, being built into the facade of a large rock. There are plants and several cool spots on the property to sit and eat a meal or have a conversation. Luz, the host was extremely attentive and pleasant to speak with, and solved the problem immediately when I couldn't figure out the A/C controls. It is also gated and is a safe place to park a motorcycle or scooter. The only downside is the neighbors roosters, but I wore earplugs my remaining nights and slept great.
The sweetest owners and staff!! They are always ready to give the best advice and suggestions. We had a great time at the Rock House hostel. Suggestions: rent a motorcycle to move around instead of using taxis!
The owners Christian and his mom are super nice and have helped us a lot during our stay and were very concerned with our wellbeing which was super nice!
