Its difficult to create a hostel thats so good that someone would want to travel half the world over to go to again. Yet that is exactly what this place created. The community it provides, the events, the location as close to the old town as it is all wonderfull. While i was there i joined in on the garden games that frenchie organised, mikhai joined our hostel quiz team end felicia was shaking one amazing cocktail after the other. To sum it all up one of the best hostel expreriences i ever had.
Not as updated or clean as other hostels but the staff and environment makes up for it!
Great place
I had a lovely stay at T5. the staff are welcoming and friendly. There is a big community vibe with locals who regularly came in too which was a different experience but everyone was very welcoming and friendly and theres always someone around to hang out with. lots of social events to help you get to know people too and staff make great recommendations. the facilities were good and showers were hot and clean enough. i would stay here again just for the people!
Amazing hostel with amazing vibes and amazing staff. The garden outside is a lovely place to hangout. Social events every day, and easy to get to know other travellers. Quiz night was so fun and it was an honour being in the winning team. Location is 15min walk for the old town. In the rooms there are good blackout curtains that guarantee a good night's rest. Special thanks to Mihai for all the recommendations for food, drink and karaoke :)
+ Everything was really well organised and i also liked the fact that each night there's a different event that even the local people are attending. Great place if you want to meet people and just have an overall great experience and stay! Super near to the center as well and good neighbourhood!
People working at the bar were cool and engaging. Activities seemed more directed towards locals rather than actual guests in the hostel. “Community” hosts were just having fun with the people they already know.

I loved this place! It was very alive with group activities every evening and yet it’s also the hostel where I got the best sleep. The dorm was very dark and people were super respectful and quiet past a certain hour.
Everything was great and the people were helpful. The only thing I paid more attention to was that separating smokers and non-smokers in the rooms would be much better and more important from a health perspective. Because non-smokers are really more bothered by it. Especially people who drink alcohol and smoke experience excessive breathing problems, coughing, and snoring when sleeping in the same room at night. 10/10!! I genuinely meant when I said it was the best hostel I’ve ever went. Loved the room specially the blackout individual curtains and the locker under the bed. Vibe was awesome with multiple activities for the community each day, kitchen and bathrooms were clean, everything awesome! Also services like coffee, snacks, drinks were impressive 👏🏽 Must leave a special thanks to Salva who was an excellent host and deserves the recognition. Thanks a lot for everything!!

An absolutely beautiful hostel in Bucharest! Thanks to its lovely and caring employees, its nightly events and its clean interior and sweet hostel cat and café, the T5 is a super comfortable and communal space in the heart of the city. I have never been at a nicer hostel in Europe. Can't wait to be back :)

+ The room was spacious and clean and the bed, which had a privacy curtain, was comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. The social side of the hostel is brilliant, with lots of activities being arranged and communicated via a What'sApp group. I didn't use the kitchen so can't really comment on it other than to say it was a decent sized area and looked fine. The hostel is about a ten minute walk from the nearest metro station and close to the town centre.
- The bathroom facilities! If it wasn't for this, this hostel would have received a much higher score and I'd be more than happy to return. The facilities are mixed gender. That's not a problem for me, but might be uncomfortable for some. My main criticism is that there are not enough of them, but to be more specific, - there are no bathroom facilities on the upper floor, so you have to go downstairs - most areas are cramped. For example, you have to stand under the shower to be able to close the shower door - the main bathroom area doesn't have a door on it. This is because the showers are so close to it, the door would not be able to open. This means people in the kitchen and corridor can see anyone using the wash basin. - There is only one wash basin in the main area, so if someone is cleaning their teeth when someone comes out of the toilet, the second person will have to wait to wash their hands. There is also no shelf by the basin, so there's nowhere to put your wash kit (the basin has soap bottles on it) and there is nowhere to put your towel, other than on the floor. - They are so short of rooms for bathroom facilities, there is even a wash basin situated on the stairs landing! It offers no privacy at all! Due to the bathroom facilities, I won't be staying agin.
