Stayed at the 12-bed female dorm. The room was exactly as shown in the pictures. Beds had curtains for privacy, lighting for reading purposes and wireless chargers + usb ports (saving u from adaptor struggles). The staff were also very helpful and friendly. Great and convenient location. However, as others commented, the number of toilets and showers are disproportionate to the number of people. There were around 4 toilets and 3 showers (which of them separate). No bins in the showers.
my room was very moldy + there were only 6 showers for the whole building

Bien dans l’ensemble, mais uniquement 4 douches pour tout l’hostel…
The hostel is well located, very social, and cleaned daily. However, a big downside for me was the temperature in the rooms. You can’t control the air conditioning yourself, and the rooms are extremely cold — when you open the door it feels like stepping into a freezer. Everyone in my room got sick, and others told me the same thing happened to them because the AC is so excessive. Also, unfortunately I had two cockroaches above my bed.
die zimmer sind total toll! gutes klima, angenehme luft und total ruhig. auch große schubladen und viel platz im raum. schöne dachterrasse, kinoraum. die küche hat eklig gerochen. war aber gut ausgestattet. badezimmer waren auch in ordnung. nur ein bisschen eng mit den miniwaschbecken.
great location, gets the job done, but seriously needs separate men/female bathrooms and or more bathrooms/showers.

Daniel at the reception is amazing!! He was so helpful and nice every time i went there he was just so kind helpful and friendly :) I always go back to this hostel. That’s my favourite hostel to stay in sydney. It’s the best hostel super clean super high quality hence why its always booked out. Thank you Daniel for being so friendly and helpful :)
I would definitely recommend this hostel to anyone who wants to stay in the city and not at the beach. The staff is super nice and everything is cleaned very regularly. Everybody has a huge locker to put all your stuff in. The location is amazing and there are social events every day
I had a very pleasant stay at Summer House City Center. The location is great and very central, everything is easy to reach, and the hostel is clean and comfortable. The staff also very friendly! Especially the manager Daniel was very helpful! Can definitely recommend:)
