Mad Monkey Bayswater

Very nice and cosy place, full of friendly people! All the staff make you feel right at home!

The WiFi was excellent. I found there were too many Spanish speakers, so I didn't really fit in. I really hate that they have three smoking areas, which led to having some of my meals while inhaling second-hand cigarette smoke. The fan in the room was useless. The long termers were extremely messy, and the guy below me took most of the space around the bunk bed. The plug socket by the bed was awkward to use. I wouldn't rate this 7.7, that's for sure. I did like the big mugs for tea though.

i love this place! the building itself is small but makes for wonderfully communal common areas - close quarters makes for quick friends. dorm rooms, bathrooms, and kitchen are all well kept and maintained! but what really makes this place special are the people, the staff are lovely and the nightly events are a riot. all my best to the fine folks at mad monkey bayswater!

Lovely clean hostel with friendly staff and very convienient location

It's a great place to stay away from the noisy part of the city, yet close enough to party-activities. Not everything is top-notch, but ok. It's a bit disappointing to find so many employed people living in a hostel, as I was expecting more tourists so we can group up for activities. The only unpleasant bit is that I kept finding other people's dirty clothes on my bed and among my clothes after "cleaning". The space is limited in the rooms, yet there is a rule not to store stuff on the lockers.

I had a great stay here! The whole staff was super friendly and welcoming, especially Hanna and Jake who made the experience even better. I would definitely come back a thousand times!

It’s a very social hostel with perfect beautiful staff. Everything is clean and the free activities are so nice. Being here is 100% worth it.

Well structured engineering trap in an intriguing mysterious location with questionable water tubing system and local water source fractionation. Basment with powder smell and dangerous stairs, psychological kitchen trap with window for smokers resembling narcotic facility. Fractionation of the rooms creates moldic breating poison air with choking sounds from shared room friends. Alcoholics and toxic people in degradation trying to recover on a bench or a stair outside. Please close this place.

really nice hostel, i felt very welcome from the start and the staff are all very nice and put a lot of thought into the weekly events which are always really funny and have great vibes. the facilities get cleaned everyday and kitchen is also well equipped and rooms are clean

clean kitchen, and amazing staff! Awesome array of events like BBQ, trivia & wine and cheese! Super good vibes that extended my stay twice!

Cleanliness general good but socks smell in the bedrooms + very cold water 😅

We had a good stay at Mad Monkey Bayswater, room was cleaned regularly and facilities were also clean. Staff were friendly and the trivia night was good fun. Only negative was that there were a lack of plug sockets in the room, especially with there not being plug sockets accessible to the top bunks.

Could do with an upgrade and atmosphere was terrible. Location was great and rooms needed keys to enter but the communal areas were below average

The hostel was cute and the location was prime if youre wanting something a little quieter than the hostels next to the train depot. The roof top patio is as cute as you'd think. However the vibe was "off" is my only word to describe it. The staff were stand off-ish unless you interacted with them; i attended their trivia night, the staff clumped together at the head of the table and won two of the three prizes which felt like a bit of a conflict of interest. Heaps of storage in the rooms tho!

I loved the rooftop. Everything else was nice especially the staff! The only thing I didnt like was the bathroom.

I had a great stay at Mad Monkey Bayswater. The location is excellent, just far enough away from the centre of King’s Cross for it to be calm but still close to public transport, cafes, and nightlife. It made getting around the city really easy. The staff were also fantastic. Super friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help with recommendations or anything I needed. The room and common spaces are really clean and enjoyable. I’d definitely stay here again.
