I stayed here as a female solo traveller. The hostel felt very safe and the location was amazing. The staff were very friendly and the facilities were great - it would be useful to have a kitchen to cook! I would definitely recommend this hostel.
Excellent location, people really friendly and good amenities. I had the upper bed and it’s kind of difficult to get there, but overall, totally recommend staying!
I stayed at Pangea Pod Hotel for Whistler Pride and loved it. They truly participated in Pride, hosting an official après and karaoke night, which made it feel community-driven and inclusive. The pods are spacious, quiet, and comfortable with plenty of clean showers and bathrooms. I slept great every night. I honestly prefer this over sharing a crowded house. Highly recommend, especially for solo travelers.
Nowhere secure to store your suitcases / big bags. This is a snow town so obviously people will have a lot of things - one chain to lock your bag to is not enough and not that secure. No real spaces to sit and hang out in the pods, you’re either in your bed or on the balcony. Lights in the pods also don’t turn off and stay on all night so you’re not ever getting darkness to sleep. There was vacuuming almost every morning at 8am outside of our pods. Poor staff
Great Hostel. The pods are really big and my room was always quiet. There is no communal kitchen but for a short stay it doesn't matter to me because they have the Café/Bar to get food and drinks 😊 The Bingo nights were great for sozialising! I definitely would come back.
Starting with the positives: - the location is incredible - the staff were great - you get more space in your ‘pods’ than you do in a normal hostel bed. Now onto the negatives: - There was no communal kitchen, not even a fridge/microwave/kettle, not really budget-travel friendly as you’re forced to eat out - I’ve never had to pay to store my luggage in a hostel after check-out. Since their check-out was 10am, I didn’t really have a choice unless I wanted to carry around my bags up the...
For the price and considering that the restaurant opens at 8 a microwave/kettle/sink for washing dishes should be included. Some people are early birds and are on the go first thing in the morning. They also advertised a texting service in the description but they did not reply to me
The pods were great for a good nights sleep, with enough space at the end to put my bag. It’s a more expensive hotel/hostel but you only pay for the bed - breakfast/laundry etc are on top at a high price! There was also no kitchen area or mini fridge in the room to store food. It’s also not a sociable place, most people keep to themselves
It was a great stay - friendly stuff, clean and working facilities. The parking fee about $44 Dollars for one day is very high.
It’s in the best location in the village. The rooms were spacious and clean. Bar was nice, balcony patio was also lovely with great people watching, we only ate the potatoes wedges but they were very good haha. Only down fall - no communal kitchen or fridges. So if you want to cook or save leftovers be warned that there isn’t anything to keep food! Otherwise would stay here again!
Pangea hotel is located right in the middle of Whistler village, and is perfect for solo travelling. The pods are clean and well serviced with sockets/air con. toilets are clean and dorm was super quiet. would recommend.
Excellent location, comfortable beds. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Flatbreads was excellent.
Definitely recommend this place! Location can't be beat and the bunks are very comfortable and cosy. Only thing is to skip getting breakfast included. The value isn't there. Spend it somewhere else in the village for a comparable price and better quality. Otherwise can't recommend it enough.
great hostel, prime spot. for the price you pay you'd think they'd have complimentary coffee or at the least tea. felt like i was getting gouged left right & center. when in whistler...
Hostel is in a great location in the middle of the village, I’ve stayed multiple times and find it very comfortable. All staff members were great and friendly, Annabelle was lovely.
I spent 4 nights at the Pangea hotel whilst in Whistler, it was a great place to stay, very central. It was in the perfect location - only a couple of minutes walk from the bus stop and the gondola, also really close to the supermarket and lots of lovely restaurants and coffee shops. The service was great. The pods were really cozy and felt very private, I wasn't bothered by noise at all. The showers and toilets were clean and there were lots of them so you never had to wait.
Really nice stay at Pangea Pods. Staff were friendly and helpful. Facilities were great. Location was fantastic being in the centre of town. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others to stay here too. :)
This is a fantastic place for a solo traveller or a person who enjoys their own space when travelling. The pods are cozy and spacious, the atmosphere is chill and the staff are friendly and welcoming. I recommend this place to anyone interested in travelling to whistler. Thanks Pangea for the excellent service and hospitality.
one of the best hostel experiences i’ve ever had!! staff was friendly, pods were amazing, everything was kept very clean and i was able to easily make friends :) definitely would recommend staying here!
This is probably the best hostel I’ve stayed at! We were here for a week over Xmas and new year and couldn’t have asked for a better stay. Great beds, great facilities, great location, great bar, great people, great staff. 2min walk to the gondola. The huge double bed pods are so comfortable. Will be back!
