Mezenga Backpackers

The hostel and the staff itself are all right. But!!! Be careful, the place has BEDBUGS which once you get can travel with fou for a long time!! The hostel knows it but they are not taking care of it. Everybody in the room had bites and they got me pretty badly with a itching body for a week and a strong allergic reaction. They do not wash the blankets after someone used them. You hostel guys should get a specialist and get rid of this problem, I would recomend noone to go to this place.

The staff was not professional at all. Ended up playing more than quoted here. I have stayed in many hostels all across the country. Never had such a poor experience.

Rooms: The rooms are very basic and needs some uplift in the look. The flooring is pretty old and have stains on them. At least consider recarpeting them to enhance the overall look of the room. The Toilets are large enough but needs to pay attention to the hygiene factor. There are a lot of mosquitoes in the rooms as well as in the large sit-out area, effectively making the sit-out area useless. Service: The service offered by the staff was very good. The washrooms were not clean also there wasn’t enough ventilation in the rooms.

It was a pleasant and relaxed stay at Mezenga Backpackers. The staff were polite, friendly, and very helpful.

Amazing staff and awesome atmosphere. Bathrooms could be cleaned more often. There are privacy curtains only on 3 sides of the bed which makes it useless. Top bunks dont have any privacy at all. For being mixed dorms, they should arrange some curtains for all beds. But overall the place really feels like a fun hostel. Will definitely go back

Staff were friendly, hostel is clean, location is a quiet place. Overall a nice place.
