Yaku Hostel

The Yaku Hostel is really in the paradise and the hosts were very kind and friendly. The shower didn't work for us at first, but they fixed it very nicely straight away. The only criticism was the humidity in the rooms. Since they are "closed" it cannot escape and it looks like it has mold. It smells very strange, but this could also be due to the varnish on the wood. However, we really enjoyed the live music and everything that went with it, as well as the nice people.

We had an Okay Stay at Yaku. The location right at the beach is amazing. However, room size, quality of food, staff engagement, water pressure, etc. did not live up the expectations set up by the hostels‘ prices. The value for money ratio is a little underwhelming. If you stop by just for a coffee, their mango latte is incredibly good and worth every penny.

Mein Zimmer hat stark nach nach Feuchtigkeit gerochen. Am anderen Tag konnte ich das Zimmer ohne Problem wechslen. Das Frühstück und der Cappuccino sind der absolute Hammer. Es ist sehr ruhig gelegen.

Amazing place. Lovely hostel a stones throw away from the beach. Brand new, very clean, with nice rooms and lovely staff. Special shoutout to Mari, Karen and the other girls who did everything they could to make our stay so special. Would definitely recommend.

Pro: +Ein schönes modernes Hostel/Hotel direkt am Strand + bequeme Betten +Frühstück inkl +freundliches Personal +Begrüßungsgetränk Cons: - Zimmer deutlich kleiner als auf den Fotos vorgestellt - Lediglich 2 Tische für 4 Personen beim Frühstück, ansonsten nur Sonnenliegen - Das WLAN funktioniert nur bei der Rezeption, in unserem Zimmer war kein Empfang - Abfluss war verstopft, wurde aber gerichtet und hat dann funktioniert - Das Wasser im Bad hat so sehr gestunken, da...

Pros: Modern build, ceiling fan, good shower, comfortable bed, location on the beach, clean, nicely decorated, breakfast options (none for vegans though) Cons: Staff did not give us any info when checking in, we were laughed at and told there were no vegan dining options anywhere on the beach which was not true, rooms are very small, there is no outdoor pool, restaurant or bar as the listing suggests, wifi didn’t reach our room, very noisy environment, upstairs deck is under construction

YaKu hostel is a very quiet place just right in front of the Caribbean Sea, very comfy room, with excellent view’s and the staff were very helpful and polite. Five Stars and I highly recommend it.

Beautiful place, everything about Yaku is dreamy. Amazing staff, clean rooms, lovely breakfast and even a fresh fruit juice upon arrival. A stones throw from the beach, highly highly recommend this place.
