This is a basic hostel — enough to enjoy a couple of nights at the beach. However, the staff is absent and unfriendly. The night we spent there, the water went out. There was no one on call to resolve this, and she only showed up at 10AM the next day, totally unconcerned and seemingly bothered by our complaints. We still had to check out at 11AM — didn’t have a chance to shower, brush our teeth or access to a working toilet.
Nice place. However - bad energy from the main lady who cooks and looks after the place. She said some negative comments about us in Spanish not knowing that I understood, very rude attitude. That was a shame. However, perfect rooms and even better location on the beach.
We loved our stay in Mendihuaca! Great location on the beach, just meters from the water and super friendly staff.
Great spot right on the beach. Very friendly staff. Would just be nice to have free (or low cost) drinking water refills as there are not many places on the beach to buy big bottles of water.
Very nice Hostel, directly at the Beach. We loved it there! Nice chilled vibes, but if you want you can have Party in a hostel/ Bar near by.

Amazing hostel!! The location is so beautiful and it’s so peaceful falling asleep and waking up to the sounds of the waves. Decent sized rooms with everything you need. Ivan was a great host too. Highly recommend to stay here.

Everything you need for your stay at costeño beach and also a good place to go to Tayrona national park. Lovely personal, cheap, clean and flexible.
Excelente lugar para estar tranquilo y disfrutar de la playa y buena comida.
En general estuvo bien la llegada y la atención, lo único es que al inicio nos piden que hagamos silencio por lo que hay muchos viajeros que quieres descansar y relajarse (como nosotros) pero no se respeto este silencio y no tuvimos una buena experiencia en cuanto al ruido que estaban haciendo, tanto el personal como algunos huéspedes en la entrada del hostal.
