Sauberes Zimmer & Bad, sehr gute Unterkunft in Rotorua
Great location, super friendly staff. Everything clean and modern. The room was boiling hot with no air con but it wasn’t the end of the world.
Nice hostel. The kitchen/living room area was really spacious and nice. The staff were always around and really helpful. Location is good, right in the centre of town. The walls and ceilings around my bed were covered in dead bugs so this was the only downside. Overall a good hostel, had a good time would recommend.
Pretty okay hostel. Like all haka houses, there is almost no social atmosphere. Parking is free after 6 pm so don’t pay too quickly at the check in if you’re using your car during the day.
Be prepared to use ear plugs even in a private room, lots of noise till 12am starting again around 5am! Otherwise was a good stay!
Peaceful location near to the park, great size communal area and kitchen, and felt very safe. Our four bed dorm was tiny and got super hot at night so didn’t sleep well initially. I was able to get a fan from reception the following morning which helped. The en-suite drains smelt pongy!
Great hostel with clean modern bunks and bathrooms! Only downside was some of the 4 bed dorms had plenty of room and others were a struggle to get your bag through the door as they were a bit small. I had a wonderful stay though and it was close to everything!
Trevligt boende. För och nackdelar då de fanns massa olika kök kopplat till olika boende delar. Bra för att man slipper trängas, men lite mindre socialt.
Staff were TERRIBLE. Didn't have answers to any basic questions. Rude. Also - randomly found the receptionist sleeping in the shared kitchen on two occasions?! He didn't show me my room even though I came twice to say I couldn't find it. I emailed about parking with no reply - and ended up paying for parking I didn't need to as the receptionist directed me to the wrong place! Kitchen dirty and badly equipped. Bathroom bin overflowing. Bedroom was clean enough. OVERPRICED for what it w...
Enjoyed our stay. Had some ants in our room but the staff came and sorted this quickly when notified. Generally everything you needed, but not the little additional extras, such as wine glasses etc. Would recommend!
The rooms were very very hot. It was hard to sleep, felt like a sauna and the windows don’t crack open super wide. A fan would have helped. However the beds were super comfy and room was clean. Shower and bathroom facilities were great. The kitchen was very very dirty and messy. My partner and I decided not to cook there due to this.
Really dirty kitchens rooms tiny and not clean staff didn’t understand concept of keeping people under the same booking in the same room. Rooms the smallest I have ever seen for a hostel for no room for luggage paying extra for an en suite complete waste of money.
Overall a pretty poor accommodation. The facilities are pretty poor. The rooms are so tiny can barely move. The drains in the bathrooms smell vile & spread through the rooms. There is no air conditioning, which when it’s hot in the NZ summer it’s unbearable in there. So pretty bad night sleep. The accommodation is actually out of the main area you wanna be really. The reception guy was pretty abrupt & rude to new guests about the 2pm check in time. Wouldn’t recommend
The room was tiny, filthy, and smelled of sewage. We had an ensuite bathroom that reeked and the floor and wal wer dirty. One bed had a huge stain on the duvet cover and also the fitted sheet. There is nobody on site after 5pm so if you need any help you wont get it. There are no fans, so you have to keep the windows open. There isnt enough room to fully open the lockers. I've stayed in other Haka Houses and this is BY FAR the worst. I would not recommend it to anyone.
Bit tired looking around the property, but everything worked. The walls are very thin so you could hear every time some let their room door slam - which definitely kept waking me up in the middle of the night. In bed amenities were all good as you would expect from a haka house. Not a very sociable place, felt like there was a school trip there when I stayed so there wasn’t much space to sit, eat dinner or relax in the communal areas
Helaas geen fijne sfeer door grote reisgroepen met pubers. Geen optimale plek als solo backpacker.
Okay place if you’re just there to sleep and leave the next day. Linens were clean but room and curtains on the bed were visibly dirty. Kitchen was filthy, rotting food in the fridge. It’s very stuffy due to dorms being tiny with no space to move or open bags and smelled musty and only a small window in the back of the room to crack open. Bathrooms were okay, but still not very clean at all. I expected better from other reviews. Was excited to leave the next day.
great place, but way too many children there. when I've been there, there was a big group of 13 years old students, which were very noisy
Great stay, however it was super hot as they had no fan or aircon
My partner and I had a lovely stay here. The rooms were clean and comfy with an excellent amount of secure storage and privacy with blinds for the beds. Plenty of cooking spaces with the multiple kitchens and food storage spaces. The location is great for exploring what Rotorua has to offer. I had an amazing stay and cannot recommend Haka house enough. There is also free parking on the next road over by the park, which staff helped us find.
