Many thanks! I was super happy while staying for Tarawera. 5min walk to the startline, hot thermal spa after the race and great meet up with people from all over the world! Super clean and lovely staff! I'll come back next year😃
I was really nice place with outstanding service
We have a great one night stay here! The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the whole vibe of the place was so relaxed. The facilities you get for the price really are very good value! We felt like we were having more of a luxury stay than we paid for. We stayed in the 6-bed dorm which was perfectly clean and had a little kitchenette useful for making breakfast. The thermal pools were a great addition. The only downside was the lack of utensils in the kitchen, but we made do!
We stayed in one of the 6-bed dorms and they were alright, but the rest of the facilities were not so great. The kitchen had no dishes because of theft, the spa pools are closed due to construction except for one and wifi is only free 1GB per day. Everything just seemed kind of run-down and old or not well-maintained.
i like it
Excellent location just outside of town. Hot and cold pools were welcome luxuries. Staff were lovely to interact with. If you do not have a vehicle, the city bus service is easy to use to get around. Great stay!
Great place to visit, the thermal pools are a bonus, staff are super friendly and so helpful with guidance on what to look at... The dorms had everything you need and you really couldn't ask for more!! Close to attractions and amenities
Très bon camping avec des chambres multi lits moins cher et très calme. Point bonus pour la piscine chauffée c’est une masterclass Placé a bonne distance de la plupart des spot interessant de la ville vous pourrez aller partout (en voiture de préférence).
Chilled atmosphere, hot tubs and pool were nice, dorm room was decent, only downside is the kitchen wasn’t very well equipped
If you like camping it is really good ! Good point you have access to the pool and hot bath but I don’t like the fact that the kitchen is in the room… It is great for a night if you have a car !
Great place to stay. You get access to the thermal pools and swimming pool free of charge. Would definitely recommend
This is a great accommodation especially for a one night stop over in Rotorua- you do need a car however if you’re looking to stay. Backpacker dorms are nice and clean (beds do come with bedding!), with a fridge and basic cooking facilities within the room itself (hob, utensils, kettle). Wi-Fi is free as well, it’s just that you’re limited to 1GB a day- but you can set it up on multiple devices! Overall a good stay for a stop over with all the facilities needed at a decent price.
A bit overpriced, but not bad
wouldn't recommend, since it's a camping ground you won't get a nice hostel experience, but the facilities were clean and close to the Maori-Village
Not really for backpackers or solo travellers it's a family campsite. But cabins can be cosy and they have great swimming pool and hot tubs! However have to walk to toilets and closest to us were replaced with portalos used by construction workers... If you don't drive then you have to get the bus to town and last on is 6pm - so have to uber back if you want to eat out. Also no free wifi! Would be rated lower but the Hot Pools are great and we enjoyed the novelty after endless hostels.
The campsite's a bit tricky to get to without a car but it's a really nice location. Hot pools were great for chilling in the evenings.
Feeling of beeing in the middle of nowhere, camping feeling, very clean bathroom and kitchen, room was fairly sized and clean
It‘s far away from CBD. You have to walk an hour but there for it is pretty calm and you can really relax.
It was great to have a hot and cold pool! Otherwise though was far out of the centre, not the cleanest and not very sociable. Had to pay for Wi-Fi which I thought was really poor
This place was fine, not great, not bad, just so-so. You definitely need a car if you are staying here. You will have to walk to a central building to use the bathroom. It is outdated, but clean. The sulfur smell is real. There is a very small kitchenette in the room. My roommates made pasta dishes and seemed happy. For 2 or 3 nights it is fine, but you MUST have a car to enjoy the surrounding areas.
