10/10 extremely friendly and ready to help staff
The staff was so nice and helpful! The property is a bus ride from La Spezia and although it takes about 35 minutes to the train station I think it was very easy and worked fine. The breakfast was more than I expected and felt like you were staying in a home away from home. There’s also a Pizzeria within walking distance called Palma Doro that was so good with very nice staff and great pizza for €6. And a supermarket even closer.
I did not realize this space was so far out of town. My experience was not great. I am a 73 yo woman who took a taxi there which took long enough that I thought I might be being kidnapped. Silly I know but I really had no idea it was so far. When I got there the owner was upset that I didn;t arrive between 6 and 8pm. was not happy with me. With no car, it was a taxi or a bus and I changed lodgings the next day with the help of another resident with a car. Beautiful place but too far.
The place was overall very nice and very clean. The staff were so nice. This is however a car centered hostel because it's so far from anything in La Spezia. There is a reliable bus, but it certainly is not the best way to get around.
Really lovely quiet BnB, the bus to the property is very frequent, it does occasionally take a longer route, which was a shock when it happened to me. the staff are great, the rooms are spacious and naturally lit, the breakfast was great and the coffee machine is available at all times for an afternoon espresso.
What a cozy stay! I felt very safe and welcomed here. All of the staff were kind and accommodating! I loved my little room and the breakfast treats it came with. It is a great place if you want to “live like a local” but still visit the touristy areas during the day, as it is about a 30 min bus - 15 min taxi ride away from the town /train station. Be prepared to take a taxi if you arrive late as the busses stop running pretty early in the evening
+ Lots of Pros here . . . I would definitely stay here and again and recommend La Pergola to my friends. The place is spotless and well appointed. The staff are polite, helpful and genuinely concerned with your satisfaction. I extended my stay once I realized how comfortable and clean the place was. - The only CON for some is that it is a bit out of the way from La Spezia. The city bus easily gets you there in 30 min. The remoteness allows for a more peaceful atmosphere.
Very cute bed and breakfast with super clean rooms. It was great to find our room tidied up when we arrived back at La Pergola after a long day of exploring Cinque Terre. Some fellow guests told us we didn’t need to buy bus tickets because they ‘never check’….. big mistake because we got hit with an ugly fine on our last day as we were arriving in La Spezia Centrale. Buy the tickets you need ahead of time, it’s cheaper than the 40 euro fine.
Charming hostel. ~40 minutes from City center by bus with not much to see nearby. Better if you’re traveling by car. - Staff is friendly and communicative. Cleans your room and changes your towels daily. - kitchen is limited with just a microwave for cooking yourself and only a pizza place nearby.
Rekommenderar starkt.
I got there late after getting miserably lost driving in Pisa. The fellow happened to be there (thank goodness!!!) and got me checked in. Very nice, very informative about the area, and options to get into town. Clean room with snacks - couldn't ask for a better landing spot to explore La Spezia and Cinque Terre!
Personale molto accogliente, camera molto carina e pulita. Colazione inclusa buona e abbondate, consigliata!
Lovely room and large breakfast choice
Really good place to visit the 5 Terre , clean room with nice view restaurant , supermarket and bus close.
This accomodation is not in La Spezia, I made a mistake booking so far because I had an early train in the morning. When I explained my situation to the owner, he told me there would be buses in the early morning, except he forgot to tell me it was a public holiday, so the early buses would not be running. I waited for the bus in the night, in the middle of nowhere for 30 minutes, and had to call a taxi that cost me 40€ not to miss my train...
